AI video templates from one photo

An AI video template here turns one photo into a short trending video: we put you in the template's scene, show you that opening still as a free preview, then animate it into a 5- or 10-second vertical clip. On 18 Oct 2026 there were 77 video templates and 16 photo templates on the site, from Flying Roadster, which broke on 16 Oct, to the AI Hug, searched since 2024. No prompt, no editing app and no video of you needed.

THE SHORT ANSWER

What an AI video template is, and what it isn't

Search for AI video templates and you find three different things. Editing-app templates, the kind people mean by "capcut ai template", give you a timeline to fill with clips you filmed. Prompt pages give you words to paste into a video model and hope. A one-photo template does the whole job: the scene, the motion, the camera and the timing are fixed, and all you bring is a photo of yourself, of two of you, or of your pet.

Each one copies a trend people are already posting. We find where it started, note the three cues that make it recognisable in a second (a T-shirt straining over new muscles, a ghost behind your shoulder, a pickup flying over a camp chair), and build a version that works from any clear photo. Your face, hair, facial hair and glasses come from your photo; with a pet, the whole animal does. The set, the move and any costume come from the template.

That's not the same as our clip remakes, such as Bulin 47, where your face goes into the real viral clip and its body, moves and sound stay. A template has no source clip. It's a new video made around you, which is why it can do what no real clip could: grow armour on you, fold you into a hologram or soak you from a cinema screen.

BY GROUP

AI video templates by what they do

Video templates in each group on 18 Oct 2026. A template can sit in two or three groups, and every group is also a filter on the trends page.

EFFECTS

AI video effects: camera moves, stunts and cinema shots

"AI video effects" and "ai effect video generator" are how a lot of people look for the same thing: on 18 Oct 2026 Google finished both with generator, free and maker. On this site an effect is a template whose point is one camera move or one stunt rather than a story, which makes them the ones that suit an intro, an ending or a montage.

How a template works here

Five steps, and nothing is charged before the fourth.

  1. Pick a template

Tap a card. Each template's page says who it takes (you, the two of you or a pet), how long the video is and where the trend started.

  2. Add a photo

One clear, front-facing photo per person, or one per pet with its face showing. Templates with two people in the scene, like the AI Hug or the AI Proposal, ask for two. Only use photos of adults who said yes. More in the best photo for an AI face swap.

  3. See the free preview

In about a minute you get the opening still of the video with you in it. The video is animated from that still, so if your face looks right there, it starts right. You get up to three free previews per template.

  4. Make the video

A video template is 100 credits ($9.90) whoever is in it, and every video is 1080p. If it fails, the credits come back by themselves.

  5. Post it with a sound

The videos come with sound made for the scene, or none, and never a song. Add the trend's sound in TikTok, Reels or Shorts when you post.

PHOTO TEMPLATES

Photo templates: a picture instead of a video

16 templates make photos rather than a video: AI Action Figure, Chibi Figure, Claymation, Cozy Felt Portrait, Anime Dreamscape, Long Neck, Miniature World, Tarot Card, Fashion Editorial and more, two of them for a pet or for two of you. You see a free watermarked preview first, then pay 5 credits for each photo that passes our face check, and any of them can become a 5-second video with Make it move.

Most of these were photo-prompt waves before they were templates, and some are long past their peak. The AI action figure is the clearest case: worldwide weekly searches peaked in the week of 6 Apr 2025 and were at 1 out of 100 in the weeks of 4 and 11 Oct 2026. Each template's page says where its trend stands, so you know whether you're early or posting a classic.

HOW WE CHOOSE

Where the templates come from, and what we leave out

A template goes on the site when people are posting it and searching for it. We check Google's suggestions, the template sites that sell it and the posts it started from, date everything we can, and a person approves each one before it goes live. Many template trends begin as paid app ads or one-tap presets rather than one creator's post; when that's the case, the template's page says so.

We rename anything built on a brand, a film or a character, so the roadster on the site isn't any maker's car. We never make a real person's likeness the point of a template, and templates are for adults: Baby Body Dance puts your own grown-up face on a dancing toddler's body and never takes a child's photo.

Every number on these pages says whose count it is and the day it was read, because template trends move fast and most of the counts come from the apps and template sites themselves.

QUESTIONS

Questions about AI video templates

Are these AI video templates free?

The preview is: you see the opening still with you in it, free, up to three times per template. The video is 100 credits ($9.90), and credits come in packs of 100 for $9.90 or 300 for $24.90, with no subscription. We'd rather say that up front than call the whole thing free.

Do I need CapCut or another app?

No. Everything happens on the template's page here: add a photo, check the preview, make the video and save it. You post it to TikTok, Instagram or YouTube yourself.

Do I need a prompt?

No. The scene, the motion and the camera are written into the template, and your photo is the only thing you add.

What's the difference between a template and a trend remake?

A remake puts your face into the real viral clip, which keeps its own body, moves and sound, like Bulin 47. A template makes a new video around you from a set scene and motion, so there's no source clip and no original sound. Both start with a free preview.

Can I use a photo of my pet?

In many of them. Knight Cat and Singing Pet are made for pets, and templates like Flying Roadster and Muscle Filter have a pet mode. The whole animal comes from one photo. See AI pet trends for the full set.

How long are the videos?

5 or 10 seconds, whichever length people post that trend at, vertical (9:16) and in 1080p, ready for TikTok, Reels or Shorts.

Can I choose the song?

Yes, in the app you post with. Our videos carry sound made for the scene, or none, so you add the trend's sound in TikTok, Reels or Shorts.

Which AI video template is trending right now?

On 18 Oct 2026 the fastest-moving were Flying Roadster (first AI clip on 16 Oct), the Closed on Sunday Choir and Singing Pet (both first posted on 14 Oct). For the clip remakes, see AI video trends 2026.
