What is the Ali G Car AI trend?
The Ali G car AI trend is a 10-second vertical video of you at the wheel of a small, stripped-out old hatchback, made from one photo. A phone on the dashboard films you front-on over a chunky light-blue steering wheel, a bare black roll cage behind you. You hold a straight face for a beat, the bass drops, and you head-bang hard in time while the little car bounces on its springs, then stop dead and point at the camera. Add your photo, see a free preview still in about a minute, then make the video for 100 credits ($6.99).

It's an AI recreation in the style of the opening drive from Ali G Indahouse (2002), not footage from the film, and Jump on the Trend isn't connected to the film or its makers. The scene came back this autumn as a 'me on my way to pick up bro' clip: MakeViral's template page lists @sxm.edtz's version from 25 August 2026 at 673,000 views and 111,600 likes, and a copy by @_noahb9ll at 401,800 views. From 18 October people started making it with AI from a single photo, and on 23 October the new film Ali G: Who Iz I? opened in cinemas, so the character is everywhere this week.
There are three versions, and the pet one comes first because it's the funniest. Your pet puts your dog or cat in the driver's seat in little yellow-tinted glasses, paws on the wheel, head-banging on the drop and pointing a paw at the lens. Just you is the classic: you alone at the wheel in a bright yellow tracksuit jacket. You + your mate takes two photos: you drive, your mate rides shotgun, and you both lose it when the beat drops. Faces, hair, facial hair and glasses come from your photos, and you start with your photo's own expression; a pet keeps its own breed, coat and markings.
The sound is an original heavy jungle beat with a deep bass drop and the engine humming, with no words. The track from the film's opening is not in the video: add it, or whatever sound is trending, when you post. For more film scenes starring you or your pet, see White Chicks, another car scene people are remaking this year.
The song and the original
The film's opening drive plays a 1990s UK jungle track; MakeViral's page names it as "Incredible" by M-Beat featuring General Levy. It's fast breakbeats under a huge, rolling bassline, the sound of pirate radio and raves, which is why the head-banging lands on the drop. Our videos use an original beat in the same spirit, not that track.
Is the Ali G Car trend still growing?
Rising. The film clip took off in late August 2026, the one-photo AI version started on 18 October, and the new Ali G film opened on 23 October, so searches for the car scene are up right now. MakeViral is the only remake site we found selling it on 25 Oct 2026.
How to do the Ali G Car trend: by hand or in one click
By hand: put your photo into the scene with an image model, regenerate until the face looks like you, give that still to an image-to-video model with the moves written out, then check the face holds to the last frame.
Here, in one click: add a photo for each person, see a free preview still of you in the scene, then make the video from it. You pay only when it’s ready.
Ali G Car mixes
- Your pet: Pet version: no people and no human hands anywhere. The pet sits upright in the driver's seat with both front paws on the top of the wheel and its yellow-tinted glasses on. On the drop it head-bangs hard, ears flapping, glasses staying on, paws staying on the wheel. At the end it lifts one front paw off the wheel and points it straight at the lens
- Just you: one adult alone in the driver's seat, centred, in the yellow tracksuit jacket, the passenger seat empty. On the drop they head-bang hard, shoulders bouncing, both hands staying on the wheel. At the end they let go with one hand and point one finger straight at the lens, below the chin, face front-on
- You + your mate: Two mates version: the driver on the left with hands on the wheel, the mate in the passenger seat on the right, never swapping seats, both in yellow tracksuit jackets. On the drop both head-bang hard in time, side by side, faces apart and wholly their own. At the end both point one finger straight at the lens, below the chin, faces front-on
Photo tips for Ali G Car
- One clear, front-facing photo, head and shoulders, well lit. You're filmed close up from the dashboard, so your face is big in the frame.
- Any expression works: you start with the one in your photo, then the head-banging takes over.
- No hat or sunglasses. Glasses stay if you wear them in your photo.
- Wear anything in your photo: the scene puts you in a bright yellow tracksuit jacket (or pick your own outfit if you'd rather).
- For You + your mate, add one photo each, one face per photo: photo 1 drives.
- For a pet, a photo with its face to the camera and its front paws in view works best.
- Adults only. Use your own photo, or one of an adult who said yes.
Who to cast
- Your dog, who was born to drive
- Your cat, unimpressed until the bass drops
- You, the day you passed your driving test
- You and the mate you're picking up
- The friend who head-bangs to everything in the car

How do I do the Ali G car trend with AI?
1. Pick Your pet, Just you, or You + your mate. 2. Add one clear, front-facing photo (one per person, or your pet's). 3. Check the free preview still of you at the light-blue wheel. 4. Make the 10-second video: straight face, the bass drops, you head-bang and point at the camera. No prompt to write, no car, no filming.
What is the Ali G driving scene?
It's the opening drive of the 2002 comedy Ali G Indahouse: the character cruising in his small car with the music loud. In 2026 people started posting it as 'me on my way to pick up bro', and then making their own versions with AI. Ours is a recreation in that style from your photo, not a clip of the film.
Can my dog or cat do it?
Yes, and it's the version we'd make first. Pick Your pet: your dog or cat sits in the driver's seat in little yellow-tinted glasses with its front paws on the wheel, head-bangs on the drop and points a paw at the lens. No people in that version. Dogs head-bang best; cats bring the attitude.
Can I do it with a friend in the car?
Yes: pick You + your mate and add one photo each. Photo 1 drives on the left, photo 2 rides in the passenger seat, both of you in yellow tracksuit jackets, head-banging side by side when the beat drops and pointing at the camera at the end.
How much does it cost?
The preview still is free. The video is 100 credits ($6.99), vertical 9:16, ready for TikTok, Reels or Shorts.
What's the song in the Ali G car scene?
MakeViral's page names the film's opening track as "Incredible" by M-Beat featuring General Levy, a 1990s jungle tune. Our video comes with its own jungle-style beat and bass drop instead; add the film's track or a trending sound in TikTok, Instagram or CapCut when you post.
Do I look like Ali G in it?
No: you look like you. Your face, hair, facial hair and glasses come from your photo; the scene only adds the bright yellow tracksuit jacket, the light-blue wheel and the little stripped-out car. It's the scene's style, not the character's face. If you'd rather keep your own clothes, pick your own outfit before you make it.
Is this the real car from the film?
No. It's a generic small, stripped-out old hatchback with a bare roll cage, black racing seats and a light-blue wheel, the look the trend copies, with no badges or number plates. Nothing from the film is in the video.
Why is the Ali G car scene trending now?
Two things at once: the 'on my way to pick up bro' clips, which passed 673,000 views on one post in August 2026 according to MakeViral, and the new film Ali G: Who Iz I?, which opened in cinemas on 23 October 2026. The AI versions started a few days before the film.
Will it look like me?
Your face, hair, facial hair and glasses come from your photo, and you start with the expression in it. A clear, well-lit, front-facing photo works best because the dashboard camera films you close up. The free preview still shows how you'll look before you pay for anything.
