AI pet trends for your cat or dog

Two AI pet clips went viral in early October 2026, and you can put your own pet in both: Smalltown Boy Cats, two cats screaming and dancing upright at a red fence, and I Wanna Love You, a cat in a corduroy suit singing Akon in a night selfie. Dogs work too. Add one photo per pet and your whole animal takes the original cat's place in the real clip, with a free preview before you pay anything.

Which pet trend suits your pet

Both started as AI-made clips of cats standing on their hind legs and performing like people, posted on 1 and 2 Oct 2026. Smalltown Boy Cats is the dancing one; I Wanna Love You is the singing one. Pick by how many pets you have.

Your pet in the real viral clip

With people, only the face and hair change: the performer's body, clothes and moves stay. With pets, the whole animal goes in. Your pet's face, coat colour and markings replace the original cat, and the clip keeps everything else: the upright stance, the moves, the set, the camera and the clip's own sound. In I Wanna Love You that includes the suit.

That's different from an AI pet video generator, which animates any photo with stock moves or a prompt. A generator can make a cat dance; this puts your cat in the exact clip people are remaking, on the same beats, so it reads as the trend at a glance. The trade-off is that you can't choose the song, the outfit or the setting.

Singing cat AI videos

Most singing cat AI tools are lip-sync apps: they make a cat photo mouth whatever audio you upload. This works the other way round: the song comes with a clip that already went viral, and your pet is made to sing or scream along to it.

I Wanna Love You is the singing one. The original white cat was posted on TikTok by @novoreel on 1 Oct 2026, captioned with a joke about haters calling it autotune, and had 21.8M plays when we read it on 15 Oct 2026. It sings the opening of Akon's 2006 hit with Snoop Dogg, a smooth nightclub come-on, into a phone held at arm's length. Your pet's mouth is made to move with the clip's own sound. More on the song.

Smalltown Boy Cats is a scream more than a song. Each cat clutches its head and screams into the lens over Bronski Beat's 1984 falsetto, a song about a young gay man leaving the small town that rejected him. Two cats losing it at a red fence to that is the joke. More on the song.

Either way, your video comes with the sound already on it, ready to post. For the songs behind every AI trend we track, see AI trend songs.

How to put your pet in a trend

You need a photo of your pet, not a video. One pet takes one photo; two pets take two.

  1. Pick the trend for your pets

One pet: I Wanna Love You. Two pets: Smalltown Boy Cats.

  2. Add one clear photo per pet

Face toward the camera, coat and markings in shot, one animal per photo. You can add two more angles of the same pet. In Smalltown Boy Cats, photo 1 screams first and photo 2 starts at the fence.

  3. See your free preview

Tap See yourself in it for a free still of your pet in the scene, in under a minute. If a marking is wrong, type the fix under the preview ("white socks on the front paws") and it's made again from your photos. With two pets you choose which one the words are for.

  4. Make the video

Press Make my video. It takes about 5–10 minutes and we email you when it's ready. It's 100 credits whether you have one pet or two, and you pay only when it's ready, with an automatic refund if it fails.

  5. Post it

Save it and post it on TikTok, Instagram or YouTube Shorts. The clip's own sound is already on it.

Pet photos that work, and ones that don't

Your pet's look comes only from the photo, so it's worth picking well. For photos of people, see the best photo for an AI face swap.

Two pets, or your cat and a friend's

Smalltown Boy Cats has two fixed roles. Photo 1 is the first screamer, up front with its paws on its head. Photo 2 starts as the dancer at the fence, then comes forward for its own scream after the cut about 7 seconds in. From about 14 seconds they dance side by side, and in the last second and a half they rush the camera. Put the pet you want opening the video first.

The pets don't have to live together, or ever meet. Your cat and a friend's cat, each from its own photo, end up at the same fence: a long-distance version you can send to them. Ask your friend before you use their pet's photo.

Most remakes we checked used the poster's own two cats, and template sites also offer a cat with a dog. Any two pets work; the clip keeps both up on their hind legs. Two pets cost the same 100 credits as one.

QUESTIONS

Questions about pet trends

Can I use my dog in a cat trend?

Yes. Both trends started with cats, but any pet with a face works. In I Wanna Love You, dogs are the second most common pet in the versions we compared, and template sites for Smalltown Boy Cats offer a cat with a dog.

Is it free?

The preview is: a still of your pet in the scene, free, up to three per trend. The full video is 100 credits for one pet or two (in 1080p HD), and you pay only when it's ready. Packs are 100 credits for $9.90 or 300 for $24.90, no subscription needed, and a video that fails is refunded automatically.

Do I need a video of my pet?

No. One photo per pet is enough: the moves, the camera and the sound come from the viral clip. You can add up to two more photos of the same pet.

How long does it take?

The free preview takes under a minute. The video takes about 5–10 minutes, and we email it to you when it's ready.

Will it look like my pet?

It takes your pet's face, coat and markings from your photo, so a clear, well-lit photo matters most. Check the free preview before you pay; if something's off, type a fix under it or try a better photo.

Can I use someone else's pet?

Only with the owner's yes: our rules cover your own pets, or pets whose owner said yes. See who can be in your video.

Can my pet sing a different song?

No. Each trend keeps its clip's own sound, and the moves are timed to it. Tools that lip-sync a pet photo to any audio do something different.
