What is the 3D Billboard AI trend?

The 3D billboard AI video is a five-second clip of you on a giant curved LED screen that wraps around the corner of a city building at dusk. You look into the camera, then lean in and push one hand out over the edge of the screen, so your hand and head seem to hang in the air above the crossroads while tiny people below stop and look up. Then you pull back in and smile. Here you add one photo, get a free preview still of yourself on the screen in about a minute, and then the 5-second video for 100 credits ($6.99). There is a Neon rain version, at night with cyan and magenta glow on a wet street, and a pet version, where your cat or dog pushes one huge paw out of the screen.

It copies a real thing. Since 2020, advertisers and artists have built 'naked-eye' 3D screens: two LED walls meeting at a building's corner, with the picture drawn in forced perspective (an anamorphic illusion) so that, from the right spot on the street, things seem to burst out of the building without 3D glasses. The two that made the format famous: d'strict's WAVE, a giant breaking wave trapped in a glass box on the wraparound LED facade of the COEX building in Seoul, reported as 80 metres wide and 23 metres tall (Urban Design Magazine, 19 May 2020), and the giant calico cat that leans out over the street from the curved Cross Shinjuku Vision screen opposite Shinjuku Station's east exit in Tokyo, which started its official run on 12 Jul 2021 after test broadcasts (Time Out Tokyo, first published 6 Jul 2021). Google still completes "3d billboard" with "japan", "tokyo", "nyc", "shinjuku", "times square" and "seoul" (19 Oct 2026).

The AI version puts you in the box. Pollo AI lists a one-photo 'Naked-eye 3D LED Display' effect that, per its pages in search results, puts your subject on a big plaza screen in 3D with no glasses; Morphic's version says content appears to "break out of a giant curved corner LED screen in real depth", and its example is a giant house cat on a tall city screen reaching one paw out toward the camera; Somake's charges 50 credits for a 5, 8 or 10 second clip (all read 19 Oct 2026). Search is starting to follow: Google completes "3d billboard ai" to "3d billboard ai generator" and "ai billboard video" to "ai billboard video generator" (19 Oct 2026). Our version keeps the city generic, with no real ad, logo or landmark on the screen or the buildings, so the only thing on the billboard is you.

Is the 3D Billboard trend still growing?

A steady app effect rather than a breaking trend. The real 3D billboards went viral in 2020 and 2021; the one-photo AI version is on at least five effect sites on 19 Oct 2026, and Google has started completing "3d billboard ai" to "3d billboard ai generator", but the search volume is small.

How to do the 3D Billboard trend: by hand or in one click

By hand: put your photo into the scene with an image model, regenerate until the face looks like you, give that still to an image-to-video model with the moves written out, then check the face holds to the last frame.

Here, in one click: add a photo for each person, see a free preview still of you in the scene, then make the video from it. You pay only when it’s ready.

3D Billboard mixes

  • City at dusk
  • Neon rain: Night in light rain instead of dusk, a dark sky: cyan and magenta neon edge light and faint scan lines at the screen's edges, none on the face, which stays sharp and in natural colour; light rain in the street, the wet road mirroring the glow. Same framing and beats
  • Your pet: The pet is the one on the screen, on four legs, pushing one huge front paw out toward the camera with its paw pads showing, then sitting back

Photo tips for 3D Billboard

  • One sharp, front-facing photo of you in good light; waist up is best, so your face fills a big part of the screen.
  • You keep the clothes from your photo, so wear something you'd want ten metres tall. Anything the photo doesn't show is filled in plain and casual.
  • Glasses stay if you wear them in the photo; take off sunglasses and hats.
  • For the pet version: one clear photo of your dog, cat or other pet, whole body if you can, face and ears in view.
  • One adult per photo: you, or someone who said yes.

Who to cast

  • You, as a 'main character' post or a launch announcement for your own thing
  • A friend on their birthday, the whole city looking up at them
  • Your cat or dog, reaching one giant paw out of the screen

3D Billboard FAQ

Is there a free 3D Billboard AI video generator?

You can preview yourself in the 3D Billboard scene free. The full video costs 100 credits, charged only when it's ready. Credits come in packs from $6.99 for 100 and work on any trend.

Which app makes the 3D Billboard AI video?

Creators put their photo into the scene with an image model, then animate it with an image-to-video model. This page does both for you from one photo: a free preview still first, then the video.

How many photos do I need for 3D Billboard?

One clear, front-facing photo per person (or pet). This template has room for 1. Add up to 3 photos of each for a closer likeness.

What happens to my photos?

They are stored privately, sent to the video model through short-lived links, never used for training, and deleted with your video after 30 days.

What is the 3D billboard AI trend?

A short AI video of you on a giant curved LED screen on the corner of a city building, leaning out and reaching one hand past the screen's edge as if you were coming out of the building, while people on the street look up. Here it's made from one photo and runs 5 seconds.

How do I put myself on a 3D billboard?

Add one clear, front-facing photo, pick City at dusk, Neon rain or Your pet, and you get a free preview still of yourself on the screen in about a minute. If you like it, the video is 100 credits ($6.99), 5 seconds. Then post it on TikTok or Instagram with your own sound.

Is the 3D billboard AI generator free?

The preview is free, so you see yourself on the screen before you pay. The video is 100 credits ($6.99). Elsewhere, Somake's naked-eye 3D effect costs 50 of its credits a clip (read 19 Oct 2026).

What does 'naked-eye 3D' mean?

It means 3D you see without glasses. The screen is really two flat LED walls meeting at a corner, and the picture is drawn in forced perspective, so from the right spot on the street the box looks deep and things seem to come out of it. Step to the side and the trick falls apart, which is why the videos are always filmed from one spot.

Which real billboards started it?

The two everyone shared: d'strict's WAVE on the COEX building's facade in Seoul (Urban Design Magazine, 19 May 2020), and the giant calico cat on the curved Cross Shinjuku Vision screen in Tokyo, officially running from 12 Jul 2021 (Time Out Tokyo). Ours copies the illusion in a made-up city, not either place.

Can I put my cat or dog on the billboard?

Yes: pick Your pet and add a photo of your pet, whole body if you can. Your pet sits on the giant screen, pushes its head and one huge paw out toward the camera, then sits back, the way Morphic's giant-cat example does.

Can I put my brand or my own text on the screen?

Not in this template: the screen and the buildings stay free of text, logos and ads, because video models garble lettering and we don't put real brands on screens. The only thing on the billboard is you (or your pet).

How is this different from 3D Hologram or City Giant?

In 3D Hologram a glowing cyan copy of you rises out of a projector on a desk; in City Giant you are a real giant standing between skyscrapers. In 3D Billboard you are a picture on a giant screen that seems to come out of it.

What's the prompt for the AI 3D billboard video?

In plain words: the person from my photo, waist up, on a giant curved LED screen wrapping the corner of a city building at dusk, filmed from across the street; they lean toward the camera and push one hand out over the screen's frame into the air in deep 3D, then pull back in and smile, while tiny people on the street below look up; no text or logos anywhere.
