Who's responsible
John McEnroe, trading as Jump on the Trend, 116 south park, D18E1V3, is the controller of your data under the GDPR. Contact for anything privacy-related: [email protected].
What we collect
- Your email, to sign you in with a one-time code (or through Google, if you choose) and to email you when your video is ready.
- Photos you upload of you and of people who agreed to be in your video.
- What we make: the videos and photos, and short previews.
- Links you suggest with "Suggest a trend", and your email if you leave one, used only to tell you when that trend is live.
- Payments: Stripe handles your card. We receive your email, the amount and whether it went through.
- Technical data: your IP address and pages requested, in server logs; a sign-in token saved in your browser; what you tap and view on this site and any errors you hit, joined up for one day by a code made from your IP address and browser that changes every day (the IP address itself isn't kept, kept 120 days); and anonymous visit counts (page, country, device type, how fast it loaded) from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't follow you across sites. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your face
- We use your photos only to make what you asked for: to check they're usable (an automated check counts faces, rates the photo and flags anyone who looks under 18) and to generate the result.
- We don't use them to train AI models, we don't sell them, and we don't build face templates or use them to recognise or identify anyone.
- If you're in someone else's video and didn't agree, tell us and we'll delete it.
Why we use it (legal basis)
- To make and deliver what you ordered, and to run your account: our contract with you.
- To check photos for minors and stop misuse, and to keep the service secure: our legitimate interest in running a safe service.
- To count visits, see which pages and steps people get stuck on, find errors and see how fast pages load, without cookies: our legitimate interest in improving the site.
- To keep payment records: our legal obligation (tax law).
- We don't send marketing emails unless you've opted in.
How long we keep it
- Photos, results and pasted videos: deleted automatically 30 days after they're made. Share links stop working then too.
- You can delete everything sooner with Delete my data on Your videos. It deletes your photos, results and share links straight away and removes your email.
- Your account email: while you use the service.
- Payment records: 6 years, as Irish tax law requires.
- Server logs: a few weeks. Database backups (no photos): 7 days.
Who processes it for us
- Hetzner (Germany): our servers, in Finland. Your photos and results are stored here.
- Cloudflare (US): delivers the site, protects it from attacks and counts visits without cookies (Web Analytics).
- fal.ai (US): runs the AI models. It receives your photos and the trend clip to make your result, and runs the photo check (with Anthropic's Claude model).
- Stripe (Ireland): payments.
- Resend (US): sends our emails (sign-in codes, "your video is ready").
- Google (US): serves the site's fonts (it sees your IP address), and Google sign-in if you choose it.
When data goes outside the EU, it's protected by the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected]; we reply within a month. Deleting is instant with Delete my data on Your videos. You can also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie) or your local authority.
Children
The service is for adults (18+). We don't accept photos of children; our photo check blocks photos of people who look under 18.
Changes
If we change how we use data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Big changes will be emailed to customers.
