AI trends to do with a friend, even when you're apart

Every clip below has two parts: you take one, your friend takes the other. It works from two cities or two countries, because nobody films anything. You add a photo of each of you, see a free preview of your faces in the scene, then get the full video with the clip's own sound. Your friend only has to send a selfie and say yes.

WHO PLAYS WHO

Who to cast in each one

Each clip gives the two of you a different job. Photo 1 always takes the first part, photo 2 the second.

  1. Hotel Lobby ≈137M views · 2 people · 15s Equal billing. You face each other at one hanging mic in a close two-shot with no cuts, so both faces are on screen for all 15 seconds. Since mid-September, remakes have put TV characters, cartoon duos and people's own friends at that mic. Cast your best friend, your two flatmates, or you and your dad. Photo 1 is on the left in the striped shirt, photo 2 on the right in the orange polo. See yourself in it
  2. Alors on Danse↗ Rising ≈14M views · 2 people · 18s A focused one and a chaotic one. Photo 1 plays the tiny keyboard on the left; photo 2 nods along on the right, then leans right into the lens grinning after the cut at 10.5 seconds. Give that part to the friend who always starts dancing first. A brother or sister works, and so do two colleagues for the team chat. See yourself in it
  3. Rumpelstiltskin Dance↗ Rising ≈57M views · 1–2 people · 9s One star, one good sport. The imp creeps up, shushes, grins and tiptoes in the straw; the maiden gasps in two short close-ups. In 4 of the 8 AI remakes we compared on 14 Oct 2026 the maiden was recast too, including a Bonnie and Clyde version that had 5.3M plays when we read it on 15 Oct 2026. Cast the friend who'd be horrified to be the maiden. The page opens on the solo version, so tap You and a friend (imp and maiden). See yourself in it
  4. Burning Bridges↗ Rising ≈20M views · 1–2 people · 20s Beta. The person in the centre raises a silver cup and shades their eyes, looking round the party; the With a friend version adds one friend laughing just behind them on the right, smaller in the frame. Put the friend who always asks where everyone is in the centre and yourself behind them. See yourself in it
  5. Oouuh 2 people · 14s A narrow kitchen at night: one of you strums a little ukulele on the left while the other sings "Oouuh" straight at the phone on the right. The original 14-second take, with your two faces. See yourself in it
  6. Raindance ≈200M views · 2 people · 28s Mostly a couples trend, but with a best friend it becomes the over-dramatic version, which often lands better as a joke: one of you looks back from the pier at golden hour, the other walks down the pier in the green dress and sings by the water. See yourself in it
  7. Instant Photo Together 2 people · 3 photos You and someone you love, side by side in a flash-lit instant snapshot with a white frame, as if it had been in the album for years. See yourself in it
  8. Couples Halloween Costumes 2 people · 5s You and your person drop a blanket in a pumpkin patch at dusk to reveal matching Halloween costumes, strike the pose together and the lights pop on. See yourself in it
LONG DISTANCE

How to do a trend with your long-distance best friend

The usual ways to do a trend with a friend in another city keep you in separate frames. A TikTok Duet plays your recording side by side with your friend's video, and only if they allow Duets on it. The distance-map trend, around since 2022, animates the route between your two places. Neither puts you in the same shot.

A remake does, and only one of you has to make it. Nobody films anything, you don't need to be online at the same time, and the time difference doesn't matter. What you need:

HOW TO CHOOSE

Which clip suits which pair

They're double acts: each joke needs two people reacting to each other. Here's how the two parts split, from our study of each clip. On screen is roughly how much of the clip each person is in.

HOW IT WORKS

How to make an AI video with your friend's face

One of you does this on the trend page. It takes a couple of minutes, then about 5–10 minutes for the video.

  1. Pick the clip and the version

Hotel Lobby, Alors on Danse and Raindance are two-person clips already. Rumpelstiltskin and Burning Bridges open on the solo version, so tap the two-person version first.

  2. Add both photos

Add your photo, then theirs. A second photo of each of you, turned a little to the side, makes the faces closer (up to three each). Only have a photo of the two of you together? Add it and tap the right face.

  3. See the free preview

Tap See yourself in it. In under a minute you get a free still of the two of you in the scene. In Rumpelstiltskin, where the maiden's face is only in her close-ups, you get one still each and flip between them. Not quite right? Type a change, like remove the glasses, and pick whether it's for one of you or both. Send your friend a screenshot before you go on.

  4. Make the video

Press Make my video. It's 100 credits whether there's one of you in it or two, in 1080p HD. You pay only when it's ready, with an automatic refund if it fails, and we email you when it's done.

  5. Share it both ways

Save the video and send it to your friend so you can both post it, or, if you're both happy for anyone with the link to see it, make a share link that works until you stop sharing. Your video keeps the clip's own sound: for Rumpelstiltskin that's the film's music, and most people add Riff Raff's track in TikTok when they post.

OCCASIONS

Ideas for birthdays, leaving dos and the group chat

A few that fit what the clips actually show. Whoever's in it says yes first.

NOT HERE YET

Two-person trends we've looked into but don't make yet

You can't make these here (16 Oct 2026). Each page says where the trend came from, how people make it and what it would take for us to add it.

QUESTIONS

Questions people ask

Can we do a trend together if we live in different countries?

Yes. One of you makes it from a photo of each of you, so where you each live doesn't matter. Your friend sends a clear, full-size selfie, you add both photos on the trend page, and we email you when the video is ready.

Does my friend need an account?

No. Only the person who makes the video signs in, when they press Make. Your friend has to send a photo and agree to be in it: making the video confirms that everyone in it is an adult who said yes.

Can three of us do one together?

Not in one video yet. Every clip on the site today stars one or two people, and the beta Burning Bridges version is two. For three, make two clips with different pairs, or give the third friend a solo trend like Bulin 47.

How much does a video with a friend cost?

The same as a solo one: 100 credits, in 1080p HD. Free preview first, pay only when it's ready, automatic refund if it fails. Packs are 100 credits for $9.90 or 300 for $24.90 (about three videos), and no subscription is needed.

Who keeps the video?

The person who made it. We email them when it's ready, and it's on Your videos, ready to save and send. Photos and videos are deleted 30 days after they're made, and share links stop working then too, so save it before that.

Will we look like the people in the original?

Only in what you wear and how you move. Your faces, hair and any glasses in your photos go in; the outfits, the moves, the camera and the sound stay from the clip.
