What is the Oouuh AI trend?
The Oouuh AI trend puts two new people into one famous phone clip. In a narrow kitchen at night, a man on the left strums a little wooden ukulele with his eyes on the strings, and the man beside him, in a striped T-shirt and a gold chain, sings "Oouuh" straight at the phone, swaying and leaning in. It's the opening 14 seconds of a clip Einer Bankz first posted on YouTube in July 2018 and on TikTok in April 2022, with the rapper Fredo Bang singing his 2018 song over Einer's ukulele. On Jump on the Trend you add two photos, one of you and one of your friend, and pick who plays and who sings. You see a free preview still of the two of you in the kitchen first; the 14-second video, in 1080p with the clip's own sound, is 100 credits ($9.90).
The clip was a hit long before anyone used AI on it. Einer Bankz's YouTube upload from July 2018 had about 3.2 million views when we read it on 18 October 2026, his first TikTok post of it had 6.9 million plays, and two later TikTok posts of the same take had 20.1 million and 16.6 million. The AI wave started at the end of September 2026. By a template site's count, the first face-swapped copies appeared around 30 September, and from 1 October CapCut template accounts were posting versions under a template labelled "Pioneer", which is why some people call it the ukulele duo pioneer trend. We lined the AI versions we could find up against the original, sound included. Every one starts on the original's first frame, the wide shot of both men, and the longest run 14 seconds, ending as the singer tips his head back on a held note. Most of them put TV or film characters or famous faces in the two places. A few use their own, like @trevorlarcom's version with a friend (336,900 plays on 18 October).
Here your faces go into that original take, not into a scene rebuilt to look like it. You each keep your own face, facial hair, hair and glasses (or none). Everything else stays as it was filmed: the black cap, T-shirt and shorts on the player, the striped T-shirt, gold chain and ripped jeans on the singer, the ukulele, the kitchen and the handheld camera. The player's cap stays on, so that person's hair mostly stays hidden. The sound stays too, so the voice in your video is the original singer's and the singer's part is lip-synced to it.
The song and the original
"Oouuh" is a 2018 single by Fredo Bang, a rapper from the south side of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, born in 1996. Wikipedia says he made it, along with "Father", while he was in jail, and that it expressed how he was feeling there; it's the single that first brought him mainstream attention, and a remix with Kevin Gates followed. The title isn't a word with a dictionary meaning but a sound, which is why it gets spelled so many ways (Oouuh, Ouuu, Ooouuh) and why "oouuh meaning" is one of Google's suggestions for it. The trend doesn't use the studio single or the remix: it runs on the kitchen recording itself, Fredo Bang's live voice over one ukulele, listed on TikTok as Einer Bankz's original sound. Your video keeps that sound. We don't reprint the lyrics; licensed lyrics sites have them. It's also not Young M.A's "Ooouuu" from 2016, which Google suggests alongside it.
Is the Oouuh trend still growing?
Past its peak (read 18 Oct 2026). The AI copies began around 30 Sep, and the newest recasts we found were posted on 8 Oct. @trevorlarcom's own-face version went from 308.4K plays on 11 Oct (a template site's count) to 336.9K on 18 Oct, a few thousand a day. Search never caught up with the AI version: on 18 Oct Google and YouTube had no suggestions for "oouuh ai" or "oouuh trend", while searches for the clip and the song ("oouuh fredo bang ukulele", "fredo bang ukulele song", "einer bankz fredo bang") were there.
How to do the Oouuh trend: by hand or in one click
By hand: save the clip, trim it to the part people remake, give it and a photo to a video model that takes a reference image, check every shot for the original person, then put the sound back in an editor.
Here, in one click: add a photo for each person, see a free preview, then make the video. It keeps the clip’s own sound, and you pay only when it’s ready.
Photo tips for Oouuh
- Two photos: one of the person playing the ukulele (left) and one of the person singing (right). One face per photo, clear and roughly facing the camera.
- Give the singer the sharpest photo: he faces the phone most and sings straight at it. The player spends most of the clip looking down at the strings.
- Glasses come from your photos: wear them if you want them in the video. The player keeps the clip's black cap, so that person's hair mostly stays hidden.
- Your faces and hair go in; the clothes and builds stay as filmed (the player broad in black, the singer slim in a striped T-shirt and jeans).
Who to cast
- You and the friend who starts singing every time someone picks up an instrument
- You on ukulele and your loudest flatmate on vocals
- Your sibling and you, for the family group chat
Oouuh FAQ
Is there a free Oouuh AI video generator?
You can preview yourself in the Oouuh scene free. The full video costs 100 credits, charged only when it's ready. Credits come in packs from $9.90 for 100 and work on any trend.
Which app makes the Oouuh AI video?
Creators use video models that take a reference photo. This page runs one for you, checks the faces and keeps the original sound, so there is nothing to download or edit.
How many photos do I need for Oouuh?
One clear photo per person you swap in. This trend has room for 2. Add up to 3 photos of each person for a closer likeness.
What happens to my photos?
They are stored privately, sent to the video model through short-lived links, never used for training, and deleted with your video after 30 days.
What is the Oouuh AI trend?
An AI recast of Einer Bankz's kitchen clip: one person strums a ukulele on the left while the other sings Fredo Bang's "Oouuh" on the right, in one handheld take. Since about 30 Sep 2026, people have put two new faces into its opening 14 seconds.
How do I make the Oouuh AI video with a friend?
Add one photo of you and one of your friend and pick who plays and who sings. You see a free preview still of you both in the kitchen in about a minute; the 14-second video is 100 credits ($9.90), in 1080p, with the clip's own sound. We only charge for the video, never for the preview.
Who plays the ukulele and who sings in the original Oouuh video?
Einer Bankz plays on the left: a ukulele player and producer from San Francisco, known for videos in which he plays while rappers perform a cappella. Fredo Bang sings on the right: the Baton Rouge rapper who released "Oouuh" in 2018. Both are adults. In your video, you and your friend take their places.
Which version of Oouuh is in the trend?
Not the studio single, the Kevin Gates remix or the 2022 acoustic release: the kitchen recording itself, Fredo Bang's live voice over one ukulele. On TikTok it's listed as Einer Bankz's original sound, and the AI versions use it too. Your video keeps that sound, so the voice is the original singer's.
Do we wear the clothes from the clip?
Yes. You each get your own face, facial hair, hair and glasses (or none); the clothes and builds stay as filmed. The player keeps the black cap, T-shirt and shorts, and the cap covers most of the hair. The singer keeps the striped T-shirt, the gold chain and the ripped jeans.
Can I do the Oouuh trend on my own?
It's a duo, so it takes two photos: one for the ukulele player and one for the singer. Both places are recast, so neither of the original pair stays in your video.
Why is it called the ukulele duo pioneer trend?
After a CapCut template labelled "Pioneer" that many of the first AI copies were made with, from 1 Oct 2026. How-tos and template sites use that name; it's the same kitchen clip.
Is Oouuh the same song as Young M.A's Ooouuu?
No. "Ooouuu" is Young M.A's single from May 2016; "Oouuh" is Fredo Bang's from July 2018, and it's the one in the ukulele kitchen clip.
What does Oouuh by Fredo Bang mean?
Wikipedia says he made it in jail and that it expressed how he was feeling there. The title is a sound rather than a word, which is why it's spelled so many ways. We don't reprint the lyrics.
Is the Oouuh trend over?
The AI wave looks past its peak as of 18 Oct 2026: the copies began around 30 Sep, the newest recasts we found are from 8 Oct, and the best-known own-face version is adding a few thousand plays a day. The clip and the song are still searched.
