The BbY WOW trend the KAROL G baby wow dance

What is the baby wow trend?

It's a dance, and a short one. The clip that started it is 6 seconds long: two young men in a backstage room under a strip light, one in sunglasses and a patterned shirt, the other in a cap and glasses with a red party cup in his hand, dancing to the song. Big Bowe told Remezcla it wasn't planned: they'd heard the song, started filming on a phone and did a little dance. He filmed it backstage at a Rawayana concert.

MakeViral's template page, which sells an AI version, describes the moves as a palms-up shrug, arms slicing across the chest, hands on the head and a point at the camera. Dance teachers on YouTube stretched it into a longer routine: one practice video teaches it as 32 counts, four eights, from half speed up to the song's own tempo. Zumba and dance-fitness routines for it were on YouTube by early September.

People call it several things. On 16 Oct 2026 Google suggested "baby wow trend", "baby wow karol g trend", "baby wow karol g dance" and "karol g dance trend". Others search for it by the hook, "dime dime baby", which is also what Big Bowe wrote as his caption. In Spanish the suggestions were "baby wow baile", "baile de baby wow" and "baby wow coreografia".

Is it on Jump on the Trend? No, not on 16 Oct 2026. If it comes, it would work like the duo and pet trends further down: photos in, a free preview still back in under a minute, and the full video only if you want it.

Baby wow dance tutorial: how to do it, with or without AI

Most people film it for real; a few use AI pet templates. Neither runs on Jump on the Trend yet.

• Film it for real. This is what almost everyone does. Grab a friend, prop the phone up or ask someone to hold it, and dance together for a few seconds. The original is unpolished: a backstage room, a party cup, no setup. For the longer choreography, Natalia & Cristian break it down step by step on YouTube (9 Sep), and the 32-count practice video above runs it mirrored from half speed to full.
• Use the right sound. Search for "BbY WOW" by KAROL G, Judeline and rusowsky in TikTok's or Instagram's sound library, so your clip plays the official track and links back to it.
• Make the AI pet version. Template sites such as MakeViral and Media.io have BbY WOW pages where you upload a photo. MakeViral says its version copies the moves from a reference clip, and its pet option copies the shopping-mall cats. Go in with a sharp, full-body photo of your pet and look closely at the result: the cat in the reel is orange and striped, and MakeViral's own help notes that the stripes can carry over.
• Credit LOS MENOR3S. The dance is theirs. If you copy the mall cats, tag their creator, Wendy Cruz, too.

BbY WOW AI: two cats in a mall, and almost no searches for it

Yes, but it's a small part of this trend. The AI clip that template sites copy is @weendycruzmx's mall cats from 15 Sep, about 28 seconds long: two cats on their hind legs, one orange in a black cap and one white with a pink flower, doing the routine side by side between the shops. When we read it, it had grown about 2% in a day, from 395.2K plays on 15 Oct to 403.3K on 16 Oct. The other AI moment was the Haaland clip, which Colprensa reported was made with AI.

Google's suggestions show where the interest is. On 16 Oct 2026 it had nothing at all for "bby wow ai", "baby wow ai", "bby wow ai video" or "bby wow cat", while the song's own searches (lyrics, meaning, sample, release date) made up most of what it suggested for "bby wow" and "baby wow karol g". People want the dance and the song, not an AI generator, which is why this page leads with the real thing.

One more thing you may see: an older party clip that some posts pair with the song, sometimes called the "bby wow guy". It isn't this dance, and the person in it may be under 18, so we won't make it and we don't link to it.

LOS MENOR3S, the Venezuelan trio behind the dance, and the Shifu question

LOS MENOR3S are a Venezuelan trio: Big Bowe, Nego and Sheba. Remezcla calls them a rising group that mixes el movimiento, tropical and house music; they put out their debut EP, CALLAÍTO SAFARI, on 13 Aug, eleven days before the clip. A 2023 report in La Verdad de Monagas said the members were living in Miami. Google suggests "los menores baby wow" and "big bowe los menor3s" for people looking them up.

Google also suggests "baby wow shifu" and "maestro shifu baby wow", and in Spanish "baby wow trend shifu". MakeViral's page says clips of a creator known as Maestro Shifu doing the moves spread at the same time, and that many tutorials credit the dance to him. We couldn't find a post to confirm that, and Remezcla's interview, KAROL G's Boston invitation and the tutorial that names a source all point to LOS MENOR3S. So: LOS MENOR3S started it, and other creators helped spread it.

BbY WOW by KAROL G: meaning, sample and release date

"BbY WOW" is by KAROL G with two Spanish artists, Judeline, from Cádiz, and rusowsky. It came out on 7 Aug 2026 on her sixth album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto. The YouTube credits list Tainy, Omer Fedi, KAROL G and rusowsky as producers, and Songfacts adds Judeline.

It's a sad song you can dance to. Songfacts reads it as being about the memory of an ex: still wanting someone who's gone. KAROL G told Rolling Stone, as Songfacts quotes her, that she wanted a song people could dance to in a club that still had that emotion. We don't print the lyrics here; any licensed lyrics site has them.

"Baby wow karol g sample" is one of Google's suggestions for the song. The answer, per Songfacts: the beat flips the Coolie Dance riddim, the dancehall rhythm best known from Nina Sky's 2004 song "Move Ya Body".

BbY WOW on 16 Oct 2026: a September dance the song keeps alive

Not over, but slowing. Our read on 16 Oct 2026, an estimate rather than a measured search curve: the dance's busiest month looks like September, and the song is still going. The original clip read 15.3M plays on 15 Oct and 15.4M on 16 Oct, so it's barely moving. Most of the signs we found date from September: the Boston stage invitation on 12 Sep, tutorials and fitness routines through the month, the Hot 100 high on 28 Sep. KAROL G's own post on 9 Oct gave it a second push, with 10.3M plays a week later.

The song is what keeps it going: Remezcla counted more than 31 days at the top of Spotify's Global Top 50 by 29 Sep, so people keep hearing it. The AI cat version is a sideline: it's a month old and grew about 2% in the day we watched. Our guide to how long TikTok trends last has the usual timings for AI remakes.
