What is the Travel Scrapbook AI trend?

The AI scrapbook trend turns photos into a page that looks glued together by hand: instant-print snapshots at odd angles, strips of washi tape, a ticket stub, a pressed flower and a few words in blue ink, all photographed on a table. This one is a travel scrapbook with a twist: you add one to three photos of yourself and we make the trip. You get pages of brand-new holiday snapshots of you, at the beach, on a city weekend or on a mountain road trip, without needing a single holiday photo. If you want your own trip photos arranged on a page, that's a different tool; this one invents the trip around your face.

Scrapbooking is an old craft, but the AI version is new and its record is thin. The building block, the instant-print-style AI photo, went round Instagram in September 2025: Gulf News's 16 Sep 2025 piece on Instagram's AI trends led with Polaroid-style photos made in Gemini. AI scrapbook pages, which took off in 2026, reuse that instant-print look (Miraflow's prompts and Zooop's template both lay photos out as instant prints). By late August 2026 media.io had a page of AI scrapbook prompts, including a travel memory board made from one uploaded photo, and on 7 Oct 2026 Miraflow wrote that the Pinterest scrapbook aesthetic had spread fast through late September and early October, with prompts for postcard pages, ticket-stub collages and map-and-route pages. Zooop's Travel Scrapbook, which lays out up to four of your own trip photos on one page, showed 671 uses on 18 Oct. We found no first viral post, so this page follows the guides, with three trips of our own.

Here you add one to three clear photos of you. You see a free, watermarked preview of the first page, Beach Summer, in about a minute. Then you get all three pages for 5 credits each, 15 credits for the set, and you only pay for pages that pass our check. Each page has three snapshots of you and just a few short words, because we don't ask your name or where you went. Any page can become a 5-second video with Make it move, with the big snapshot coming to life. For one instant snapshot with a friend, try Instant Photo Together; for a glossy magazine version of you, Fashion Editorial.

Is the Travel Scrapbook trend still growing?

Early and small. The AI scrapbook page is a recent style with no viral moment we could find: the earliest prompt-site page we found was in media.io's sitemap by 29 Aug 2026, and Miraflow dates its spread to late September and early October. On 18 Oct 2026 Google completes "ai scrapbook" with "trend", "maker" and "prompt", but not with a platform or a creator's name, and Zooop's Travel Scrapbook has 671 uses, fewer than its Claymation Me (1,868) or Miniature World (1,304). Autumn into the new year is when people look back on their trips, so it may grow. Read this as a small, honest page, not a breaking one.

The Travel Scrapbook looks

One make gives you 3 photos, one in each look:

  • Beach Summer: A top-down photo of a handmade scrapbook page lying on a light wooden table in soft window light. On textured cream paper, with a torn strip of kraft paper across the top, are three white-bordered instant-print snapshots of the person from the photos on a seaside holiday, each at a slight angle and held down with strips of pale blue and coral washi tape. The largest, in the middle, shows them laughing on a sunny beach in a light linen shirt with sunglasses pushed up on their head, the sea behind them. One shows them holding up a dripping ice-cream cone outside a small seaside kiosk with a blank sign. One shows them at sunset on a harbour wall, face lit warm gold. The person has the same face, hair, facial hair and glasses in every snapshot and is the only person in focus in any of them. Around the prints: a small paper ticket stub printed ADMIT ONE, a pressed pink flower, a tiny seashell, a scrap of hand-drawn map with a dotted line, and a little sun sticker. In loose blue ballpoint handwriting near the bottom: summer! with a doodled arrow pointing at the big photo. No other words, no dates, no real place or brand names, no logos.
  • City Break: A top-down photo of a handmade scrapbook page lying on a dark wooden table in soft window light. On textured kraft paper with a torn cream paper panel are three white-bordered instant-print snapshots of the person from the photos on an autumn city weekend, each at a slight angle and held down with strips of mustard and black-and-white striped washi tape. The largest, in the middle, shows them walking down a narrow cobbled old-town street in a camel coat and scarf, grinning back over their shoulder. One shows them at a little pavement café table with a cup of coffee and a pastry, mid-laugh. One shows them leaning on a railing at a rooftop viewpoint over terracotta roofs at golden hour. The person has the same face, hair, facial hair and glasses in every snapshot and is the only person in focus in any of them. Around the prints: a small paper train ticket stub printed RETURN, a folded scrap of street map with no readable names, a postage stamp with a painted rooftop and no words, a pressed orange autumn leaf and a few gold paper stars. In loose blue ballpoint handwriting: best weekend with a small doodled heart. No other words, no dates, no real city, landmark or brand names, no logos.
  • Mountain Road Trip: A top-down photo of a handmade scrapbook page lying on a pale wooden table in soft window light. On textured cream paper with a torn green paper corner are three white-bordered instant-print snapshots of the person from the photos on a mountain road trip, each at a slight angle and held down with strips of forest-green and orange washi tape. The largest, in the middle, shows them at a rocky lookout in a fleece jacket with a small backpack, arms flung wide, a winding mountain road and pine-covered peaks behind them. One shows them hiking a pine-forest trail, looking back at the camera with a big smile. One shows them sitting in a camping chair by a small campfire at dusk, wrapped in a blanket, holding an enamel mug. The person has the same face, hair, facial hair and glasses in every snapshot and is the only person in any of them. Around the prints: a small paper tag printed TRAIL PASS, a scrap of topographic trail map with a red dotted route and no readable names, a pressed fern, and a little pine-tree sticker. In loose blue ballpoint handwriting: made it! with a doodled star. No other words, no dates, no real place or brand names, no car badges, no logos.

Want to do it yourself? Paste this into any image model that accepts your photo (Gemini, ChatGPT and others), with a clear, front-facing photo attached:

Create a new 3:4 photograph of the person in my uploaded photo: A top-down photo of a handmade scrapbook page lying on a light wooden table in soft window light. On textured cream paper, with a torn strip of kraft paper across the top, are three white-bordered instant-print snapshots of the person from the photos on a seaside holiday, each at a slight angle and held down with strips of pale blue and coral washi tape. Style: A top-down photograph of a real handmade scrapbook page lying on a wooden table in soft natural window light: textured cream and kraft paper with torn and deckled edges, matte washi tape with slightly see-through ends, faint shadows under every print and paper scrap, corners curling a little. The snapshots on the page are warm, slightly faded holiday photos with a soft film look and plain white borders. Handwriting is loose blue ballpoint, short and legible. A palette of creams, kraft browns and faded blues, with one accent colour per page. Keep their face exactly as in the photo (same features, skin tone and hair), natural skin, no filter, no extra people.

For the other looks, swap the scene for one from the list above. If the face drifts, add a second photo from another angle and ask it to keep the face exactly as in the photos.

Photo tips for Travel Scrapbook

  • 1-3 clear, well-lit photos of just you, face to the camera; a close selfie plus one from further away works well.
  • You don't need holiday photos: we make the trip. Any clear photo of your face will do.
  • Glasses stay if you wear them. Take sunglasses off, or push them up, in at least one photo so we can see your eyes.
  • Adults only, and just you in each photo; anyone else in them is left out.

Who to cast

  • You (the classic)
  • You, for the trip you're planning next
  • A friend, as a birthday page, with their OK
  • The friend who always takes the photos and is never in them, with their OK

Travel Scrapbook FAQ

Is the Travel Scrapbook AI photo free?

You can see a free, watermarked preview of yourself first. The full set is 3 photos (Beach Summer, City Break, Mountain Road Trip) for 15 credits, about $1.40 to $2, charged only for photos that come out right.

What is the Travel Scrapbook AI prompt?

It's on this page under "The prompt": copy it into any image model that accepts your photo. Or press Make here, and we run it on your photo, check the face and give you every look at once.

Can I turn my Travel Scrapbook photo into a video?

Yes. Press "Make it move" under any photo for a 5-second video of it (50 credits).

What happens to my photos?

They are stored privately, sent to the model through short-lived links, never used for training, and deleted after 30 days.

What is the AI scrapbook trend?

An AI photo edit that turns pictures into a handmade-looking scrapbook page: instant prints at angles, washi tape, torn paper, ticket stubs, pressed flowers and a few handwritten words. Pinterest-style pages are the usual look. This travel version fills the page with new snapshots of you on a trip.

Do I need photos from my trip?

No. Most scrapbook makers, Zooop's included, lay out the photos you already have. This one makes new snapshots of you from one to three clear photos of your face, so you can scrapbook the beach trip you took, or the one you keep meaning to take.

How do I make an AI scrapbook page in ChatGPT or Gemini?

Upload your photos and describe a real paper page shot from above: three instant-print snapshots at slight angles, washi tape, a ticket stub, a pressed flower, torn kraft paper and a few short words in blue ink. Ask for no real brand names and keep the words short, because long text is where the pictures go wrong. Our first look's prompt is a ready-made version.

What's a dreamy or cinematic scrapbook collage prompt?

Two popular variations people search for. Dreamy pages go soft and pastel, with sparkles, butterflies and blush tones; cinematic ones, as the name suggests, go for a moodier, film-like look. Our three pages sit in between: warm daylight, real paper, holiday colours.

Can I put my name, the place or the date on the page?

Not here. Each page carries only a few generic words (summer!, best weekend, made it!), plus a word on the ticket or tag, because we don't ask where you went, and AI text goes wrong fast. Add your own caption when you post, or write on a printout.

Can I make a scrapbook page with my partner or friends?

Not yet: each page is of one person, from their own photos. Scrapbooks are often shared memories, so a two-person version may follow. For the two of you in one snapshot now, try Instant Photo Together.

Can I make a scrapbook page for my pet?

Not on this one: it's made for a person. Prompt guides do pet pages, and we may add one. For your pet now, see Pet Halloween Portrait.

Is the scrapbook trend on TikTok or Instagram?

The guides we read point to Pinterest and Instagram: Miraflow ties it to Pinterest moodboards, and media.io sizes its prompts for Instagram stories and Pinterest pins. We haven't found a single viral post that started it.

Can I print it?

Yes. It comes as a tall 3:4 picture, which suits a journal page or a 6 by 8 inch print, and because it's made to look like a photo of a real page, it looks at home in a real scrapbook.
