AI cat videos starring your own cat

The AI cat trend on TikTok and Instagram, as of 21 Oct 2026

Every cat trend you can make here, with where its original came from, how many plays that original had when we last read it, how long your video runs and how many cats it needs. Kittens, strays and house tigers welcome; one photo per cat.

Plays are for the original post only, not the remakes, on the date in brackets. Each video is 100 credits ($6.99), whether it stars one cat or three.

Clip remakes: your cat in the actual viral video

These four copy one real clip. The set, the moves, the camera and the clip's own sound stay exactly as people know them, and your cat, coat and markings included, replaces the original animal.

1. I Wanna Love You↗ Rising ≈58M views · 1 pet · 10s Cats of several colours are already in this one: @novoreel's white cat came first on 1 Oct 2026, then a black cat in a pink velvet jacket (5 Oct, 5.8M plays) and an orange cat in plaid (4 Oct, 1.4M). It's a selfie held at arm's length, so a round cat face and big eyes fill the frame. The white cat stood at 22.9M plays on 19 Oct, still climbing. See yourself in it
2. Smalltown Boy Cats↗ Rising ≈46M views · 2 pets · 21s Made for a two-cat household. The original pair, a ginger-and-white cat and a grey one, take turns clutching their heads and screaming into the lens. @zefosik's own-cats version from 8 Oct had 3.7M plays on 19 Oct. Two cats with near-identical coats can merge into one, so choose photos that show what tells them apart. See yourself in it
3. La Calabaza↗ Rising ≈140M views · 3 pets · 14s Three kittens on a dark roadside, one in a black cowboy hat and one in round glasses, dancing in sync. Kittens started it, but grown cats work too. The 27 Aug original had 29.1M plays and 4.1M likes on 19 Oct, and owners have since put their own kittens in a bathroom (1.7M) and on a sofa (2.0M). See yourself in it
4. Single Ladies Dog↗ Rising ≈66M views · 1 pet · 15s A dog-led trend that happily takes a cat: yours sits centre stage while two dancers whip their hair behind it, and it tosses its head on the beat. Cats are the second most common lead in the versions we looked at. A grey-and-white cat did the routine on 29 Sep, days before Odie the dachshund's 4 Oct original reached 44.6M plays (read 19 Oct). One-photo templates: a brand-new AI video of your cat

These four don't copy one clip. From your photo we make a fresh video of your cat in the scene, so nobody else's footage is reused, and the sound differs from trend to trend.

1. Clapping Cat ≈220M views · 1 pet · 5s Started with Aleksandr Kim's own black cat (@merkurianin, 25 Sep 2026, 43.9M plays on 16 Oct), so a black cat is the nearest match, though any coat works. Your cat sits up on a tiled floor, breaks into a wide grin and slow-claps with small human hands. Its front legs turn into the hands, so pick a photo where they show. Five seconds, clap sounds, no music. See yourself in it
2. Knight Cat ≈200M views · 1 pet · 10s The first knight was a fluffy kitten wearing a pink bow, from @sickmanai's kitten-and-dragon story on Instagram (part 2, 21 Aug 2026, about 1M likes on 18 Oct). Your cat gets fitted silver armour and a sword twice its height on a stormy moor, and holds its ground as the wind hits. Ten seconds of wind and armour sounds, no music. See yourself in it
3. Kung Fu Cat 1 pet · 10s People search for the cat version by name: on 19 Oct Google finished 'ai cat kung fu' with video, gif, movie, meme and fight. Your cat rears up on its hind legs, throws a flurry of punches and a spin kick, and shouts after each strike. Long-haired cats tend to come out best. Starrd dates the WAAA kung fu cat to July 2026. See yourself in it
4. Singing Pet ≈700K views · 1 pet · 10s The bath-time diva: a Rottweiler started it on 14 Oct 2026 and an orange cat followed on 16 Oct, by MakeViral's count. Your cat stands in an empty bath in a white towel and holds one operatic note into a hair dryer. The video is silent, so you add a song in TikTok. Very young: 121 videos on its sound by 17 Oct, by MakeViral's count. See yourself in it

New one-photo cat templates: doorbell cams, cakes and a giant cat

Four more formats that went live here on 18 and 19 Oct 2026. None copies one viral clip; each is a format cat owners keep making, so they don't fade like a single meme.

1. Porch Cam Cat Concert 1 pet · 10s Doorbell-camera footage at 3am: your cat plays a little guitar on the doormat until a furious voice from inside cuts it off, it stares into the lens, then plays one more chord. Doorbell-cam cat musicians have done the rounds on YouTube since late 2025; one Short from 24 Nov 2025 had 406,285 views on 19 Oct 2026. Banjo or drums if you prefer. See yourself in it
2. Cat at the Front Door 1 pet · 10s Grainy night-vision doorbell footage of your cat walking up, standing on its back legs, pressing the bell, then pressing its face into the lens and meowing when nobody comes. Real cats really do this: Fox News covered Lilly setting off her family's doorbell camera in September 2022. See yourself in it
3. Giant Cat Attack 1 pet · 10s Your cat as tall as the office towers, padding down a city avenue while cars stop around its paws, then leaning down to sniff the camera. Giant-pet AI clips go back to a giant Maine Coon that spread in late September 2024; by 18 Oct 2026 three template sites sold a giant-cat version. See yourself in it
4. Cat Cake 1 pet · 5s Whipped cream is piped onto a sponge cake and the swirl turns out to be your cat, which climbs out, licks its nose and waves a paw. Five seconds. ClipTrend sells the template as Cake Kitten and has written about it since 30 Jul 2026. See yourself in it

Cat singing AI video: three ways your cat can sing

Yes, your cat can sing in three of these, and each handles the voice differently. On 18 Oct 2026 Google finished 'singing cat ai' with video, app and 'cat singing in shower ai', so here is which one matches what you have in mind.

Want your pet to sing words you choose, or a song with no clip at all? Singing Pet AI lip-syncs your pet's photo to one of our songs or your own lyrics, and Talking Pet makes it say what you type.

• I Wanna Love You: your cat performs the opening of Akon's 2006 single with Snoop Dogg, and its mouth moves along with the clip's own audio. The paw goes up at about five seconds. See the Akon cat.
• Smalltown Boy Cats: closer to a howl than a song. Two cats scream at the camera over Bronski Beat's 1984 falsetto, and the track runs under the whole 21 seconds. See the screaming cats.
• Singing Pet: the shower-concert idea, set in a bath. Your cat sings with its eyes shut and its head back, and the mouth moves like singing without matching any words. There's no audio on it, so you pick the song when you post. See the bath-time version.

How to make an AI video of your cat

No filming and no prompt: a still photo of your cat is all it takes. Count your cats first, because some trends have one role and others have two or three.

1. Choose by how many cats you have

One cat: ten of the twelve trends. Two cats: Smalltown Boy Cats. Three cats: La Calabaza, where photo 1 dances on the left, photo 2 wears the cowboy hat and photo 3 wears the glasses.

2. Pick one photo for each cat

A single cat in each photo, its face in view and lit by daylight. The next section covers what makes a cat photo work.

3. Check the free preview

In under a minute you get a still of your cat in the scene. If its markings come out wrong, type what's off under the preview, for example "orange stripes on the forehead" or "white bib", and it's made again from your photos.

4. Make the video

It costs 100 credits ($6.99) and takes about 10–20 minutes; we email you when it's done. You're charged only once it's ready, and a video that fails is refunded automatically.

5. Post it

The four clip remakes come with their trend's sound already on. The templates have their own effects or no audio, so add a TikTok sound when you post if you want one.

The best photo of your cat for an AI video

Everything about how your cat looks in the video, its face, eye colour, coat and pattern, comes from the photo. Cats rarely pose, so it's worth picking a shot taken when your cat is awake, still and looking your way. For photos of people, see the best photo for an AI face swap.

• One cat per photo. Cats that sleep in a heap are hard to separate, so crop a shared shot down to one cat. Leave out hands holding the cat, too.
• Face visible, eyes open. A cat glancing away, mid-yawn or mid-blink gives the model less to keep. Get down to your cat's eye level rather than shooting from above.
• Daylight, not flash. Flash can make cat eyes glow and flatten the fur. Black and dark tabby cats need the most light: in a dim room their features disappear into the coat.
• Show the pattern. For a tabby, tortoiseshell or calico, the markings are what make it your cat. Get the forehead, chest and paws in shot if you can.
• Ears to paws for the templates. Black Cat Clapping uses the front legs as the hands, so a sitting cat with both front legs in view, shot from slightly above, works best there. Knight Cat and Kung Fu Cat also show the whole body.
• A dry, fluffy photo. Singing Pet makes your cat look freshly washed by itself; a dry coat in the photo shows its real colour and length.

Which AI cat trends are still growing

These clips move at different speeds, which matters if you want your video to land while people still recognise it. Read between 16 and 20 Oct 2026:

• Rising: I Wanna Love You. The white cat went from about 22.9M plays on 19 Oct to 23.2M on 20 Oct.
• Brand new: Singing Pet, whose first post is from 14 Oct, by MakeViral's count.
• Holding steady: Smalltown Boy Cats. Bellvtrix's TikTok post edged from 10.7M to 10.8M plays on 20 Oct while new pet versions kept appearing.
• Near its peak: Black Cat Clapping. Google searches for "clapping cat" peaked on 5 Oct and were still around four-fifths of that on 13–15 Oct.
• Past the first peak, still travelling: Knight Cat, which took off as a reaction meme in late September.
• Peaked, with a Halloween second wind: La Calabaza. "La calabaza" means "the pumpkin", and in October the sound came back in costume edits.
• Steady rather than spiky: Kung Fu Cat. Martial-arts AI cats have been a genre since at least March 2026.
• Evergreen, no single peak: the doorbell-cam cats, the cat cake and the giant cat. They're formats people keep remaking, not one clip, so they don't have a peak to miss.
