What is the AI Levitation AI trend?
The AI levitation video is a five-second clip of you standing in a quiet, empty room, looking at the camera, when your feet simply leave the floor. You rise slowly, about half a metre, while your hair spreads upward as if you were underwater, your clothes ripple and the dust on the floor drifts up around you. Then you hang there, calm, with daylight under your feet. Here you add one photo, get a free preview still of yourself in the room in about a minute, and then the 5-second video in 1080p for 100 credits ($6.99). There's a pet version too: your dog or cat floats up with its legs dangling.

It's an app effect, not one viral post. The best-known version is Pika's: on 30 Oct 2024 it added Levitate to its Pikaffects, the one-tap photo effects that already squished, melted, exploded and inflated things, as one of three Halloween additions beside Eye-pop and Decapitate (VentureBeat, 30 Oct 2024). Two years on, Pika's iPhone app still lists Levitate as one of the five Pikaffects it names in its App Store description, beside Cakeify, Melt, Explode and Squish; the app showed 4.7 stars from 4.3K ratings and sat at #88 in Graphics & Design when we read it on 19 Oct 2026.
Since then a string of AI video sites have built their own. Higgsfield's Motion library has a Levitation preset, where "the subject floats or rises smoothly off the ground, defying gravity", plus a Thunder God version where the eyes glow and lightning flickers as you rise. Wiro sells an Antigravity Effect with 12 scenarios, from a temple meditation rise to a zero-gravity sprint in orbit. MagicShot has a Levitate effect for your own clips, Magic Hour has a Levitation x Invisible template that fades you to glass as you rise, AIReiter has a Weightless Levitation template and Morphic a divine levitation effect. Ours is the plain, quiet version people picture when they say "make me levitate": no glow, no wings, no wires, just you leaving the floor.
What makes it work is the floor. The rise only reads if the camera can see your feet, the stone under them and the gap that opens up, so the scene is framed head to toe with headroom above you, the camera stays still, and the moving hair and dust do the rest. That's also why it suits loose clothes and long hair: they give the weightlessness something to move. Post it on TikTok, Reels or Shorts with your own sound; a slow ambient track or a sudden bass drop as your feet lift both work.
Is the AI Levitation trend still growing?
A steady app effect rather than a breaking trend. Pika launched Levitate in October 2024; on 19 Oct 2026 at least seven AI video sites sell a version, but Google's suggestions show only modest search for "ai levitation" and "floating ai video" ("levitate ai" mostly finds an unrelated company).
How to do the AI Levitation trend: by hand or in one click
By hand: put your photo into the scene with an image model, regenerate until the face looks like you, give that still to an image-to-video model with the moves written out, then check the face holds to the last frame.
Here, in one click: add a photo for each person, see a free preview still of you in the scene, then make the 1080p video from it. You pay only when it’s ready.
AI Levitation mixes
- Levitate
- Your pet: The pet is the one who levitates, alone in the room: its paws leave the floor and it rises slowly, legs dangling loosely beneath it, fur and ears lifting upward, looking around calmly; there is no person anywhere in frame
Photo tips for AI Levitation
- One sharp, front-facing photo of you in good light; full length is best, so the preview can see your feet and how you stand.
- You keep the clothes from your photo. Loose things lift best: a long coat, a flowing shirt, long hair. Anything the photo doesn't show is filled in plain.
- Glasses stay if you wear them in the photo; take off sunglasses and hats so your face reads when you're up in the air.
- For the pet version: one clear photo of your dog, cat or other pet, whole body if you can, face and ears in view.
- One adult per photo: you, or someone who said yes.
Who to cast
- You, as a calm 'rising above it' post
- The friend who keeps saying they're 'floating' after good news
- Your cat or dog, drifting up off the kitchen floor

One clear, front-facing photo per person (or pet). This template has room for 2. Add up to 3 photos of each for a closer likeness.

They are stored privately, sent to the video model through short-lived links, never used for training, and deleted with your video after 30 days.
What is the AI levitation trend?
A short AI video of you standing in a room when your feet leave the floor and you float slowly up into the air, your hair, clothes and the dust around you drifting upward as if gravity had switched off. It ends with you hovering calmly, looking at the camera. Here it's made from one photo and runs 5 seconds.
How do I make an AI video of myself levitating?
Add one clear, front-facing photo (full length is best), pick Levitate or Your pet, and you get a free preview still of yourself in the room in about a minute. If you like it, the video is 100 credits ($6.99), 5 seconds in 1080p. Then post it on TikTok or Instagram with your own sound.
Is the AI levitation video free?
The preview is free, so you see yourself in the scene before you pay. The video is 100 credits ($6.99).
Is this the Pika Levitate effect?
It's the same idea. Pika added Levitate to its Pikaffects on 30 Oct 2024, and its app still lists it (read 19 Oct 2026). Pika's effect lifts whatever is in your photo; ours is written for people and pets: one photo of you, a calm room, a slow rise with your hair and the dust floating up, and your own face kept from your photo.
Which apps have a levitation or antigravity effect?
On 19 Oct 2026: Pika (Levitate), Higgsfield (the Levitation motion preset), Wiro (Antigravity Effect), MagicShot (Levitate), Magic Hour (Levitation x Invisible), AIReiter (Weightless Levitation) and Morphic (Divine Levitation). You can also make it right here from one photo, with a free preview first.
Can I make my cat or dog levitate?
Yes. Pick Your pet and add one clear photo of the whole animal. It floats up off the floor on its own, legs dangling and fur lifting, and keeps its own coat and markings.
How is this different from the AI flying video?
Flying is a superhero take-off: you shoot up past the buildings and fly over a city into the clouds. Levitation is quiet: you rise half a metre in a still room and hang there. If you want props, Balloon Fly Away lifts you with a bunch of balloons, and Power Up Aura wraps you in a glowing anime aura.
What photo works best?
One sharp, front-facing photo in good light, full length if you have one, so the preview can see your feet. Loose clothes and long hair float best. Glasses stay if you wear them in the photo; take off sunglasses and hats.
Do I need a green screen or wires?
No. It's made from a single photo; there's no filming at all. The room, the light, the rise and the floating hair are all generated around you.
