What is the AI Flying Video AI trend?

The AI flying video is the flying dream, made from one photo: your feet leave the ground, the street drops away, and you're soaring over a city with your arms stretched out ahead, then up through a cloud into the sunshine. Here you add one photo, get a free preview still of yourself lifting off in about a minute, then make the 10-second video in 1080p for 100 credits ($9.90). You fly in your own clothes, with no cape, costume or logo: the fun is that it's plainly you, airborne.

It isn't one viral post. People faked flying on TikTok long before AI: a "flying effect" tutorial from 3 Apr 2020, made with a phone's own video trimmer, had 280,553 views when we read it on 18 Oct 2026. AI made it one photo. A YouTube how-to titled "How to do the Flying Ai trend on TikTok?" went up on 23 Feb 2025, the earliest dated one we found. On 24 Jun 2025 the Instagram creator @analogmirage posted an AI reel of a man rushing through golden-hour clouds over the sea, filmed from behind like a drone; a tutorial copying it a month later said it had passed 15 million views. Media.io had an AI flying video page up by 15 Jul 2025. Since then it has come back in waves: Hindi "flying man" and "AI se udne wala video" (an AI video where you fly) tutorials in January and March 2026, and a run of "flying human" how-tos from 14 to 18 May 2026; on 1 Jun another called it a fast-growing Instagram niche. In January many of those "man flying" edits were really the falling version, our Sky Falling. ClipTrend sold a Flying Hero effect, cape included, by June 2026; on 18 Oct its AI Flying Generator makes a 6-second clip.

Ours is one continuous 10-second shot. You start on a sunny city street, hovering just off the paving with dust swirling round your shoes. Then you shoot straight up past the windows, tip forward above the rooftops with your arms out in front, and fly fast over the city with the camera beside you so your face stays in view. You rise into a big white cloud and burst out above the cloud tops into bright sun, turning to the camera with a laugh. Your face, hair, facial hair and glasses come from your photo, and so do your clothes, which ripple in the wind. The sound is rushing wind with no music, so add your own track when you post. It's a solo flight; for fire or water from your palms try Superpower, and for a car that takes off out of a traffic jam, Flying Roadster.

How to do the AI Flying Video trend: by hand or in one click

By hand: put your photo into the scene with an image model, regenerate until the face looks like you, give that still to an image-to-video model with the moves written out, then check the face holds to the last frame.

Here, in one click: add a photo for each person, see a free preview still of you in the scene, then make the 1080p video from it. You pay only when it’s ready.

Photo tips for AI Flying Video

  • One sharp photo of you, face to the camera and well lit, chest up or full length.
  • You fly in the clothes from your photo. A full-length photo keeps your own trousers and shoes; from a selfie, they're filled in to match.
  • Plain clothes look best in the wind; big logos and printed slogans can come out smudged.
  • Glasses stay if you wear them in the photo; take sunglasses and hats off.
  • One person in the photo: this one is a solo flight.

Who to cast

  • You, for the classic take-off
  • The friend who's always running late
  • Anyone who's had the flying dream

AI Flying Video FAQ

Is there a free AI Flying Video AI video generator?

They are stored privately, sent to the video model through short-lived links, never used for training, and deleted with your video after 30 days.

What is the AI flying video?

A short clip made from one photo in which you lift off the ground and fly. Here it's 10 seconds: you rise off a city street, fly arms-forward over the rooftops and burst up through a cloud into the sun.

How do I make an AI flying video?

What's the AI flying video prompt?

The prompts shared in tutorials describe a person flying through clouds or over a city, the wind in their clothes and a drone-like camera following them. Here you don't write one: you add a photo, and the take-off, the flight and the camera are written for you.

Do I need a superhero costume or a cape?

No. You fly in the clothes from your photo, with no cape, suit, mask or emblem, so it looks like you on an ordinary day that suddenly isn't.

Is this the skyfall trend?

No. The skyfall trend is a slow-motion fall backwards through a sunset sky, and it's our Sky Falling. This one is a take-off: you rise from the ground and fly forward.

Is it the same as the flying car or witch broom trend?

No. The flying car is our Flying Roadster, where you take off in a sports car. The broom ones are Halloween witch templates; here you fly on your own, no broom.

How long is the video?

10 seconds: about two to lift off, five over the city, and the rest through the cloud and out into the sun. ClipTrend's version runs 6 seconds.

What photo works best?

One sharp photo of you facing the camera, well lit, with nobody else in it and no hat or sunglasses. A full-length photo keeps your own trousers and shoes; from a selfie they're filled in to match.

Is my photo kept?

For 30 days, then it's deleted automatically, and it's never used to train AI. You can delete everything sooner with Delete my data on Your videos; the details are in our safety guide.
