What is the Flying Roadster AI trend?
The flying roadster AI video is a 10-second meme clip where you're stuck in a traffic jam, press one glowing button and your sports car lifts off the road and flies away. You're at the wheel of a low two-seat sports car in a jam that goes on forever. You look at the camera, unimpressed, and press the one glowing button next to your coffee. Thrusters fire under the back of the car, the coffee goes everywhere, and the car lifts straight off the road, hangs over everyone's roofs for a beat, then tips forward and rockets away towards the skyline. It's ten seconds and one camera move: the camera stays at your window as you rise, then pulls back to watch you go.
It started with a real car. On 15 Oct 2026 Tesla showed its new Roadster at SpaceX's test site in McGregor, Texas: in a livestreamed demo it drove up a giant curved ramp, went upside down, flipped in mid-air on thrusters and landed, and in a second run jumped a row of parked cars. So many people assumed it was AI that Snopes checked it and rated the footage real on 16 Oct. The memes started that night. At 05:51 UTC on 16 Oct the X user @pingu4ty replied to Elon Musk's post with an AI clip of a driver stuck in traffic who presses a button and blasts off, captioned "Just remember which button is which". By the end of the day TikTok had "Day 1 of owning" remakes with creators' own faces, a sky full of flying cars by @xander.sgc (1.9M views by 17 Oct) and @jude57181's animated flying car stealing the last parking space (7.7M).
Here you add one photo of yourself or your pet. You see a free preview still of you (or your dog or cat) at the wheel in the jam in about a minute, then make the 10-second video in 1080p for 100 credits ($9.90). Your face, hair, facial hair, glasses and clothes come from your photo; a pet keeps its own breed, coat and markings. The car is a generic pearl-white electric two-seater with no badge or plate, not the real Roadster, and this is an unofficial meme template with no link to Tesla. The video comes with traffic noise, the hiss of the button and the thruster roar; add a sound when you post.
Is the Flying Roadster trend still growing?
Rising fast and only three days old: the reveal was on 15 Oct 2026, the first AI clip on 16 Oct, and by 17 Oct the main hashtag held 888 videos with 9.5M views. On 18 Oct Google completes "flying roadster" with video, real and price, and "flying car ai" with "flying car ai video" and "flying car ai video prompt".
How to do the Flying Roadster trend: by hand or in one click
By hand: put your photo into the scene with an image model, regenerate until the face looks like you, give that still to an image-to-video model with the moves written out, then check the face holds to the last frame.
Here, in one click: add a photo for each person, see a free preview still of you in the scene, then make the 1080p video from it. You pay only when it’s ready.
Flying Roadster mixes
- You
- Your pet: The pet is the driver: it taps the button with a paw and its ears blow back as the car lifts; no person anywhere in the car.

How many photos do I need for Flying Roadster?
One clear, front-facing photo per person (or pet). This template has room for 2. Add up to 3 photos of each for a closer likeness.
What happens to my photos?
They are stored privately, sent to the video model through short-lived links, never used for training, and deleted with your video after 30 days.
What is the flying roadster AI video?
A 10-second AI clip where you're stuck in an endless traffic jam in a sleek sports car, press one glowing button, and the car lifts off on thrusters and flies away over the traffic while your coffee goes flying.
Where did the flying car meme come from?
From the new Roadster's reveal on 15 Oct 2026, where the real car flipped off a ramp on thrusters. The next morning (05:51 UTC, 16 Oct) @pingu4ty posted an AI clip on X of a driver in traffic pressing a button and blasting off, and remakes spread on TikTok the same day.
Is the flying roadster real or AI?
The demo was real: Snopes rated the footage true on 16 Oct 2026. The traffic-jam clips are AI, and so is yours. No car lifts out of traffic like this.
Is this an official Tesla video or the real Roadster?
No. This is an unofficial meme template, not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Tesla. The car in your video is a generic pearl-white electric two-seater with no badge, logo or plate, not a copy of any real model.
Is there a free flying car AI video generator?
The preview is free here: add a photo and see a still of yourself at the wheel in about a minute. The 10-second video is 100 credits ($9.90), in 1080p. We only charge for the video, never for the preview.
Can my dog or cat drive?
Yes: pick Your pet and add one photo. Your pet sits upright at the wheel with its own breed, coat and markings and presses the button with a paw. Pets vary more than people, so check the preview. More pet trends are on AI pet trends.
What is the day 1 of owning a roadster meme?
The caption most remakes used on TikTok from 16 Oct 2026: day one with the new car, you get bored in traffic, press the button and fly off. This page makes that clip with your face.
Do I need a flying car AI video prompt?
No. The prompts people share describe the jam, the button, the thrusters and the camera. Here that's already written; you add a photo and check the preview.
Does the car flip or barrel-roll like in the demo?
No. It lifts straight up, hovers over the traffic and flies away in one smooth camera move. Keeping it to one shot is what keeps your face steady at the window.
Can I use my own car?
Not on this one. Every video uses the same generic sports car, so no real brand or number plate ends up in your clip.
What photo works best?
One clear, front-facing photo, head and shoulders or waist up, with no sunglasses or hat. Your face is large at the window for the first six seconds. See our guide to the best photo for an AI face swap.
How long is the video?
10 seconds, vertical 9:16, in 1080p: the stare, the button, the lift-off and the flight over the jam. The first AI clip ran about 10 seconds too.
