What is the Superpower AI trend?
The superpower video gives you one element and five seconds to show it off. You pick fire, water, earth or air. From one photo you're placed in a wide, low stance in a plain living room; the element gathers between your palms, spirals out and sweeps once around you, pushing your hair and sleeves back, and then you drive both hands forward and send it straight at the camera. Each element moves its own way: fire rolls and flares and lights your face, water whips round in a rope and splashes the lens, earth rips stones up from the floor, and air only shows in the dust and leaves it drags along.
It isn't one viral post. Fire coming out of your hands is one of the oldest effects in hobby VFX: Surfaced Studio's After Effects tutorial for it went up on 25 August 2014 and Brandon Fate's on 5 September 2020, and they had about 593,000 and 481,000 views when we read them on 18 October 2026. In 2026 the look moved to AI tools: a creator showed a "fire-hands" effect made with an AI video tool on 10 February, an editing channel posted a "trending" AI fire-hand tutorial on 24 April, and template sites added one-photo versions. Zooop sells the four-element version as a template, which our radar listed on 18 October 2026. Search for it is thin: Google had no completions for "elemental powers ai" or "ai fire powers video" that day, while "ai super power video generator", "superpower ai video generator" and "ai magic powers" do come up.
Here you add one photo, pick the element and see a free preview still of yourself mid-stance in about a minute. The 5-second video is 100 credits ($9.90), in 1080p, with sound made to match the element: a roar of flame, a rush of water, grinding stone or a gust of wind. Your face, hair, facial hair, glasses and clothes come from your photo.
Is the Superpower trend still growing?
Evergreen effect with thin search. On 18 Oct 2026 there was no viral post or rising sound behind it, only one of the remake sites we track sold the four-element version, and the 2026 fire-hand tutorials we found had a few thousand views each. It's here because the look reads in one second and works from any standing photo, not because it's breaking.
How to do the Superpower trend: by hand or in one click
By hand: put your photo into the scene with an image model, regenerate until the face looks like you, give that still to an image-to-video model with the moves written out, then check the face holds to the last frame.
Here, in one click: add a photo for each person, see a free preview still of you in the scene, then make the 1080p video from it. You pay only when it’s ready.
Superpower mixes
- Fire
- Water: Element: water instead of fire, with no flames anywhere. Between the palms spins a fist-sized ribbon of clear water that catches the window light and throws cool blue-white reflections on the face instead of firelight. In the clip it uncoils into a rope of water that loops once around them at waist height, flicking droplets onto their sleeves and the floor, then shoots forward as one thick jet at the lens and splashes across it. Sound: rushing water, then a heavy splash.
- Earth: Element: earth instead of fire, with no flames anywhere. Between the palms hover three or four fist-sized chunks of grey stone trailing grit. In the clip more chunks of stone and dust tear up from the floor around their feet, orbit them once in a ring of dust, then fly forward together at the lens. The light is the room's daylight through hanging dust. Sound: grinding stone and a deep thud.
- Air: Element: air instead of fire, with no flames and no glow. Between the palms spins a small, visible whirl of pale dust and a few dry leaves. In the clip it grows into a whirlwind of dust, leaves and loose paper that circles them once and whips their hair and clothes hard, then they push it forward as one gust that blasts debris at the lens. Daylight only. Sound: rising wind and a sharp whoosh.
Photo tips for Superpower
- One clear photo of you, waist up or full length, with your arms in the frame if you can.
- Face the camera in good light: the element lights your face, so a sharp face matters.
- Your clothes come with you, and loose sleeves or longer hair show the force best.
- One person in the photo, nothing in front of your face, no sunglasses unless you always wear them.
Who to cast
- You
- The friend who'd obviously pick fire
- Your partner, one element each
Superpower FAQ
Is there a free Superpower AI video generator?
You can preview yourself in the Superpower scene free. The full 1080p video costs 100 credits, charged only when it's ready. Credits come in packs from $9.90 for 100 and work on any trend.
Which app makes the Superpower AI video?
Creators put their photo into the scene with an image model, then animate it with an image-to-video model. This page does both for you from one photo: a free preview still first, then the video.
How many photos do I need for Superpower?
One clear, front-facing photo per person (or pet). This template has room for 1. Add up to 3 photos of each for a closer likeness.
What happens to my photos?
They are stored privately, sent to the video model through short-lived links, never used for training, and deleted with your video after 30 days.
What is the AI superpower video?
A 5-second clip made from one photo of you: you drop into a wide stance, an element gathers in your palms, circles you once and then you blast it at the camera. You choose the element: fire, water, earth or air.
Which superpowers can I pick?
Four: fire, water, earth and air. Each video has one element, start to finish. If you want the full set, make one video per element; they cut together well as a four-part post.
Is there a free AI superpower video generator?
The preview is free: add a photo, pick an element and you see a still of yourself mid-stance in about a minute. The 5-second video is 100 credits ($9.90), in 1080p, with sound.
How do I make a superpower video from a photo?
Add one photo of yourself, waist up or full length, and choose the element. You don't need to strike a pose in the photo or write a prompt: the scene puts you in the stance, and the clip handles the build-up, the loop around you and the strike.
Does it keep my face and my clothes?
Yes. Your face, hair, facial hair and glasses come from your photo and stay sharp the whole way through, and you keep the clothes you're wearing in it. Nothing gets a costume, a robe or face paint: it's you, in your own clothes, with a superpower.
Which element looks best?
Fire reads fastest on a small screen because it lights up your face. Water is the most satisfying when it hits the lens. Earth is the heaviest, with stones and dust. Air is the subtlest: you see it only in the dust, leaves and paper it throws about and in your hair whipping back.
Does the fire touch me?
No. The fire stays in the air between and in front of your hands, lighting you up but never on your skin, hair or clothes. Nobody gets singed, and neither does the sofa.
What photo works best?
A clear, front-facing photo in good light, ideally with your arms in the frame. Loose sleeves and longer hair show the force best. One person per photo, with nothing in front of your face.
How long is it, and does it have sound?
Five seconds, vertical 9:16, in 1080p. The sound is made with the clip to match your element (flame, water, stone or wind), with no music, so you can add a track in TikTok if you want one.
Is it based on a cartoon or a film?
No. Throwing fire, water, earth and air is an old idea, and fire coming out of your hands has been a hobby VFX effect for more than a decade. We don't copy any series' look: no costumes, symbols or face markings, just you in a plain room.
Whose photo can I use?
Your own, or an adult friend's who said yes. The site is for adults, so photos of children aren't accepted. How photos are handled is in is AI face swap safe?
