What is the AI Pet Dance AI trend?

AI pet dance videos make your dog or cat dance from a single photo. Ours is one short routine, the same every time: your pet sits up on its haunches on a sunlit living-room floor, filmed by a phone at floor level, bobs its head on the beat, waves one front paw and then the other, sways, turns side-on to throw a look back over its shoulder, then swings round and finishes with a wave and a head tilt. Ten seconds, one continuous shot, your own animal.

There's no single original. Dancing animals are one of the oldest kinds of AI clip, and they've done big numbers on YouTube Shorts for two years. When we read them on 18 October 2026, an AI cat dance posted on 11 November 2024 had about 393,000 views, a nine-second clip of AI dancing dogs from 8 June 2025 about 9.2 million, a chihuahua dancing in the dark from 24 August 2025 about 1.7 million, and an AI cat dance edit from 22 August 2026 about 1.76 million. An iPhone app that turns a dog photo into a 10-second dance went live on 27 June 2025, and in April 2026 a dancing AI dog was posted as a green-screen meme for others to reuse. Google now completes "ai pet dance" with generator, free, video and app, and "make my dog dance ai" with free, online and video.

On Jump on the Trend you add one photo of your pet. In about a minute you see a free preview still of it sitting up on the floor, ready to go. The 10-second video costs 100 credits ($9.90) and comes in 1080p. It's silent, with the moves on a steady beat, so you can put any song under it in TikTok, which is how most dancing-pet clips are posted. Your pet's breed, coat, markings and eye colour come from your photo; only the moves are new.

Is the AI Pet Dance trend still growing?

Evergreen effect: AI dancing pets have drawn big numbers on YouTube Shorts since late 2024 (about 9.2 million views for one June 2025 clip and 1.76 million for an August 2026 cat edit, read 18 Oct 2026), and on that day Google autocomplete for "ai pet dance" and "make my dog dance ai" was full. It isn't tied to one clip, one song or one month.

How to do the AI Pet Dance trend: by hand or in one click

By hand: put your photo into the scene with an image model, regenerate until the face looks like you, give that still to an image-to-video model with the moves written out, then check the face holds to the last frame.

Here, in one click: add a photo for each person, see a free preview still of you in the scene, then make the 1080p video from it. You pay only when it’s ready.

Photo tips for AI Pet Dance

  • One clear photo of one pet, facing the camera, in good light
  • Whole body in view, ears to paws: the dance needs legs and paws to move
  • Sitting or standing beats lying down or curled up
  • No other animals or people in the photo
  • Avoid blur and heavy filters; cats need an especially sharp face

Who to cast

  • Your dog
  • Your cat
  • A rabbit or any pet that sits up for a photo

AI Pet Dance FAQ

Is there a free AI Pet Dance AI video generator?

You can preview yourself in the AI Pet Dance scene free. The full 1080p video costs 100 credits, charged only when it's ready. Credits come in packs from $9.90 for 100 and work on any trend.

Which app makes the AI Pet Dance AI video?

Creators put their photo into the scene with an image model, then animate it with an image-to-video model. This page does both for you from one photo: a free preview still first, then the video.

How many photos do I need for AI Pet Dance?

One clear, front-facing photo per person (or pet). This template has room for 1. Add up to 3 photos of each for a closer likeness.

What happens to my photos?

They are stored privately, sent to the video model through short-lived links, never used for training, and deleted with your video after 30 days.

How do I make my dog dance with AI?

Add one clear photo of your dog with its whole body in view, check the free preview of it sitting up on the floor, then make the video. There's no prompt and no dance to pick: the routine is set, and your dog's breed, coat and markings come from the photo.

Is there a free AI pet dance generator?

The preview is free: you see a still of your pet ready to dance in about a minute, and you pay nothing if you stop there. The 10-second dance video is 100 credits ($9.90), in 1080p.

Can I make my cat dance?

Yes. Cats work as well as dogs; use an especially sharp, front-facing photo, because small cat faces drift faster when they move. Rabbits and other pets that sit up work too.

What does the dance look like?

Your pet sits up on its haunches and dances on the spot: a head bob with bouncing shoulders, a wave with each front paw, a sway, a turn side-on with a look back over its shoulder, then a final wave and head tilt. It's one continuous shot from a phone at floor level, with no cuts.

Can I choose a different dance or a song?

Not here: one simple routine is what keeps your pet looking like your pet from start to finish. The video is silent, so add any song in TikTok when you post. The moves are on a steady beat but aren't matched to a particular track.

What photo works best?

One clear photo of one pet, facing the camera, with its whole body in view, ears to paws. Sitting or standing beats curled up, and a photo without other animals or people works best. More tips: /guides/best-photo-for-ai-face-swap/.

Will it still look like my pet?

Yes. The whole animal comes from your photo: breed, face, coat colour, markings, size and eye colour, plus any collar it's wearing. It keeps its own paws and tail and stays an animal; it just has better rhythm.

How is this different from the dancing pet trends on your site?

Those copy one real viral clip, song and all, with your pet in the original animal's place. This is a generic dance made from one photo, for when you just want your pet dancing. The named ones are at /trends/pets/.

How long is the video?

Ten seconds, vertical 9:16, in 1080p: long enough for the whole routine and a loop under a short sound.

Where did AI pet dance videos start?

There's no single first clip. AI dancing cats and dogs were doing well on YouTube Shorts by late 2024, an iPhone app for dog dance videos launched in June 2025, and a clip of AI dancing dogs from 8 June 2025 had about 9.2 million views by 18 October 2026.

Whose pet can I use?

Your own, or a pet whose owner is happy for you to use its photo. One animal per photo works best; with two, the dancer can come out as a mix of both.
