What is the Plug Walk AI trend?
The plug walk filter is the October 2026 AI video trend filmed from a driver's seat: at a red light at sunset, a hand passes a dollar out of the car window, the person outside takes it with a big grin, steps back onto the roadside gravel and does the plug walk, a slow, bouncy strut with the knees bent wide, the weight rocking from foot to foot and the arms swinging low across the chest. Here you add one photo and get a 10-second vertical video of you doing it; there's a free preview still first, and the video is 100 credits ($6.99) in 1080p.

The dance is old, the filter is new. The plug walk is the strut named after Rich The Kid's 2018 single "Plug Walk" (Interscope, released 9 Feb 2018, a No. 13 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 per Wikipedia), and #plugwalk was already a big meme tag: MakeViral counts 34,603 TikTok videos and 784 million views on it (as of 18 Oct 2026). The AI version is the twist. According to MakeViral's page on the trend (read 24 Oct 2026), an early daytime version on a sandy lot showed up on 8 Oct 2026, and on 16 Oct a sample clip of a one-photo "Plug walk filter" went up and passed 1.0 million views and 113,300 likes in two days. #plugwalkfilter was started the same afternoon. ClipTrend sells it too, as a 13-second car-window cash handoff followed by the dance.
Our version keeps what makes it the trend in one second: the shot from the driver's seat with the window frame and side mirror in view, the single dollar bill, the sunset street corner with the red light, the palm trees and the gravel, and the slow, cocky strut. You wear the trend's outfit (a pale lilac puffer jacket over a white tee, khaki shorts, dark trainers) or, if you pick it, your own clothes from the photo. Your face, hair, facial hair and glasses come from your photo, with your own expression, so a smile in the photo is a grin at the window. Pick Your cat or dog and your pet takes the bill in its mouth and struts on its hind legs, the whole animal as it is in the photo.
It isn't the C-walk or the moonwalk. The plug walk is slower and bouncier, mostly on the spot, with the knees wide and the arms doing the work. For the West Coast heel-toe footwork try C-Walk Dance; if the money is the point, Money Flex and Money Rain go bigger on the cash; and for another dance that started at the side of the road, there's Gas Station Dance.
The song and the original
"Plug Walk" is Rich The Kid's 2018 single, the second from his debut album The World Is Yours (Interscope), and the dance is named after it: the plug walk is an easy, cocky strut. Our video doesn't use the song: Kling makes an original beat, so add the sound in TikTok when you post.
Is the Plug Walk trend still growing?
Early. The sample clip broke on 16 Oct 2026 and the filter's own hashtags were only days old on 18 Oct (MakeViral, read 24 Oct 2026); Google doesn't complete 'plug walk ai' yet. Before the crowd: a good week to post one.
How to do the Plug Walk trend: by hand or in one click
By hand: put your photo into the scene with an image model, regenerate until the face looks like you, give that still to an image-to-video model with the moves written out, then check the face holds to the last frame.
Here, in one click: add a photo for each person, see a free preview still of you in the scene, then make the 1080p video from it. You pay only when it’s ready.

What is the plug walk filter?
An AI video trend from October 2026. Filmed from a driver's seat at a red light at sunset, a hand passes a dollar out of the car window, the person takes it grinning, steps back onto the gravel and does the plug walk. The sample clip that set it off went up on 16 Oct 2026 and passed 1.0 million views in two days (MakeViral, read 24 Oct 2026).
What is the plug walk dance?
A slow, bouncy strut mostly on the spot: knees bent wide, the weight rocking from one foot to the other on the beat, hips and shoulders rolling, and both arms swinging low and crossing in front of the chest. It's named after Rich The Kid's 2018 song "Plug Walk".
How do I make the plug walk trend video with my photo?
1. Add one clear, front-facing photo of yourself. 2. Check the free preview still of you at the car window at sunset. 3. Make the 10-second video. No prompt to write and no editing. Then post it with the trend's sound.
Can my dog or cat do the plug walk?
Yes. Pick Your cat or dog and add a photo with its face and body in view. Your pet takes the dollar gently in its mouth, hops back onto the gravel and struts side to side on its hind legs, the whole animal as it is in your photo. Pets vary more from run to run than people, so check the free preview first.
Does the video have the Plug Walk song?
No. The video comes with an original beat and the laugh at the window, not the song. Add the trend's sound in TikTok, or whichever app you post to, so it lands in the trend's feed.
Can I wear my own clothes?
Yes. By default you're in the trend's look, a pale lilac puffer jacket over a white tee with khaki shorts and dark trainers. Pick your own outfit and the clothes from your photo replace it; your face, hair and glasses are yours either way.
How much does it cost?
The preview still is free. The 10-second video is 100 credits ($6.99), vertical 9:16, in 1080p.
Is the plug walk filter real or AI?
The viral clips are AI: one photo turned into a video of the car-window handoff and the dance. Ours is made the same way, from your photo, so nobody actually hands you a dollar.
What do people call the trend?
Plug walk filter, plug walk AI, plugwalk filter, the plug walk trend, and the car window dollar dance. The tags MakeViral tracks are #plugwalkfilter and #plugwalkai, beside the older #plugwalk.
