What is the AI Snow Effect AI trend?

The AI snow effect puts you in falling snow on a quiet street at dusk. Add one photo and you get a free preview still of yourself in the snow, usually in about a minute, then the 5-second video in 1080p for 100 credits ($9.90). Big, slow flakes drift past the street lamps, settle in your hair and on the shoulders of a wool coat and catch on your eyelashes; you look up to watch them come down, then look back into the lens with a small smile. There's a version for the two of you and one for your dog or cat.

It began as a photo effect. On 12 Nov 2025 Pakistan Today reported that the "AI snow scene" effect in the Chinese photo app Meitu, which turns a selfie into a snow-dusted portrait, had gone viral on social media. The next day a blog post by Perfect Corp, a photo-app maker selling its own version, said the look had been viral on TikTok, Instagram and Threads "these past few days". The earliest tutorial we found is Indonesian, from 8 Nov, and says the falling-snow photo is going viral on TikTok. Within days, Indonesian and Hindi-language tutorials were sharing prompts that copy it in general AI image tools, usually as two or three stacked frames of the same person; the sample prompt on Perfect Corp's blog asks for a profile with snow on a black scarf, a back view walking into a snowy forest and a front-facing close-up. The same post showed a snow photo animated into a 5 to 10 second clip. Hindi "3 layer snowfall" tutorials went up on 14 Nov (one had 33,344 YouTube views when we read it on 18 Oct 2026), couple versions followed by 17 Nov, and how-tos for AI snowfall videos were still going up in December and January. New tutorials appeared again in late August 2026, ahead of this winter.

Ours is the video, as one shot: a street of brick terraced houses in fresh snow, amber lamps, a blue-violet sky, and you in a charcoal wool coat and a cream knitted scarf. Your face, hair, facial hair and glasses come from your photo; the coat and scarf come from the scene, and there's no hat, so the snow lands in your hair. It isn't a Christmas card (no tree, no lights, no Santa), so it works from the first frost to February. It isn't the three-panel photo either, and it doesn't add snow to a clip you filmed. The sound is the hush of a snowy street and no music. For the night-time, soaked version, see the AI rain effect.

Is the AI Snow Effect trend still growing?

Seasonal, and between winters. In the sources we found, last year's wave ran from 8 to 23 Nov 2025 (YouTube tutorials; Pakistan Today, 12 Nov; Perfect Corp's blog, 13 Nov), how-tos for AI snowfall videos were still going up in late January 2026, and new tutorials appeared again on 29 Aug 2026. On 18 Oct 2026 Google completes "ai snow effect" nine ways and "snow ai video" with generator and maker, and only one AI template site we track offers a snow video (media.io). If it keeps last year's calendar it comes back in November; that's our guess, not a fact.

How to do the AI Snow Effect trend: by hand or in one click

By hand: put your photo into the scene with an image model, regenerate until the face looks like you, give that still to an image-to-video model with the moves written out, then check the face holds to the last frame.

Here, in one click: add a photo for each person, see a free preview still of you in the scene, then make the 1080p video from it. You pay only when it’s ready.

AI Snow Effect mixes

  • Just you
  • You + your person: Couple version: both look up at the falling snow together, then back into the lens, and at the end the first person rests their head on the other's shoulder. Both faces visible, sharp and distinct throughout; exactly two people, fully clothed, no kissing.
  • Your pet: Pet version: it tips its head up to watch the flakes, follows one with its nose (a dog sniffs at it, a cat blinks slowly), then looks back into the lens with a flake melting on its nose. One animal, no people.

Photo tips for AI Snow Effect

  • A sharp, front-facing photo from the chest up with your eyes open: the flakes and dusk light hide a little detail, so the face needs to be clear.
  • No hats, hoods or sunglasses: the snow should land in your hair.
  • Your clothes don't matter: you're dressed in a winter coat and scarf by the scene.
  • For the couple version, one person per photo and both faces clear.
  • For your pet, the whole animal in view, facing the camera, in good light.

Who to cast

  • You, for a quiet winter profile video
  • You and your partner, for the couple in the snow
  • Your dog or cat, watching its first snowflakes
  • A friend somewhere it never snows

AI Snow Effect FAQ

Is there a free AI Snow Effect AI video generator?

You can preview yourself in the AI Snow Effect scene free. The full 1080p video costs 100 credits, charged only when it's ready. Credits come in packs from $9.90 for 100 and work on any trend.

Which app makes the AI Snow Effect AI video?

Creators put their photo into the scene with an image model, then animate it with an image-to-video model. This page does both for you from one photo: a free preview still first, then the video.

How many photos do I need for AI Snow Effect?

One clear, front-facing photo per person (or pet). This template has room for 3. Add up to 3 photos of each for a closer likeness.

What happens to my photos?

They are stored privately, sent to the video model through short-lived links, never used for training, and deleted with your video after 30 days.

What is the AI snow effect?

An AI picture or clip of you in falling snow: flakes in your hair and on your coat, a soft winter light, often a quiet look up at the sky. It started as a snow-scene photo effect in a phone app that went viral in November 2025. Here it's a 5-second video made from one photo.

Is the AI snow effect free?

The preview is: add your photo and a still of you in the snow comes back, usually in about a minute. The 5-second video is 100 credits ($9.90), in 1080p. We'd rather say that than call it free.

How do I do the AI snow trend from my photo?

Add one sharp photo of yourself from the chest up, or pick the couple or pet version. Check the free preview still, then make the video. There's no prompt to write: the street, the dusk light, the coat and the snow are built in.

Can I do it with my dog or cat?

Yes, pick Your pet and add a photo of the whole animal. It sits in fresh snow on the street while flakes settle on its fur and nose, looks up to watch them fall, then looks back at you. The animal, its colours and markings come from your photo.

Can we do it as a couple?

Yes, pick You + your person and add one photo of each of you. You stand arm in arm in the snow, look up at it together, then back to the camera, and one of you leans a head on the other's shoulder. It stays simple: no kissing. Use a photo of someone who's happy to be in it.

Is this the three-panel snow photo?

No. The photo that went viral in November 2025 is usually two or three stacked frames of you in the snow, made in a photo app or with a prompt. This is a video: one 5-second shot made here from your photo, with no app to install and a free preview still first.

What's the AI snow trend prompt?

The prompts shared in tutorials ask an AI image tool to keep your exact face in a snowy winter scene, often as three stacked frames. One sample, on a photo-app maker's blog (13 Nov 2025), asks for a profile with snow on a black scarf, a back view walking into a snowy forest and a front-facing close-up; others add snowflakes on the eyelashes. Here you don't need one; the scene is written for you.

What song is it?

YouTube completes "ai snow trend song" (18 Oct 2026), but we didn't find one sound tied to it: the tutorials we read are about the picture, not a track. Ours comes with the hush of a snowy street and no music, so you can add whatever song you like in TikTok or Instagram.

How long is the video?

Five seconds, vertical 9:16, in 1080p, in slow motion, with the quiet sound of snow and no music or speech.

Is it a Christmas video?

It's winter, not Christmas: a snowy street at dusk with warm windows, but no tree, fairy lights or Santa hat. That keeps it right from November to February.

Can I add snow to a video I filmed?

Not here. Many "snowfall video editing" tutorials lay snow over a clip you shot; this takes one photo and makes a new 5-second video of you in the snow.

How is it different from the AI rain effect?

Rain is night, heavy rain and soaked hair, with your face tipped to the sky and eyes closed. Snow is dusk, dry flakes settling in your hair, a coat and scarf, and your eyes open, watching it fall. Try the AI rain effect for the moody night version.

Will I still look like me with snow in my hair?

Your face, hair colour, facial hair and glasses come from your photo; the snow only lands on them. The clip starts and ends with you looking into the lens, so the first and last frames show your face most clearly. Check the free preview first.

Is my photo kept?

For 30 days, then it's deleted automatically, and it's never used to train AI. You can delete it sooner with Delete my data; the details are in our safety guide.

Where did the AI snow trend start?

With a phone photo app's "AI snow scene" effect, which Pakistan Today reported as viral on 12 Nov 2025; a photo-app maker's blog said the next day it had been viral on TikTok, Instagram and Threads for a few days. We found no single first post, and the earliest tutorial we found is from 8 Nov. Prompt copies for AI image tools followed in Indonesian and Hindi tutorials within days, and how-tos for snowfall videos were still going up in December and January.
