What is the Enchantress Filter AI trend?
The Enchantress Filter is a ten-second Halloween transformation. You start chest-up against pure black, looking down at your own hand held out in front of you. A long, slender black hand with pointed claws rises from the bottom of the frame and takes it. The two hands sweep up over the lens, the screen goes dark for a beat, and when it clears you're a moon sorceress: an ornate antique-gold crescent-moon crown with little gold moons hanging on chains, smoky dark eyes, black lips, thin painted lines on the cheeks, a high-collared black lace gown, orange embers drifting up behind you. You look straight into the camera and lift one finger to your lips: shh. Here you add one photo, get a free preview still in about a minute, then make the video in 1080p for 100 credits ($6.99).

It started as a CapCut AI template called "Enchantress Filter 1", made by the template creator ArtemisCC and uploaded on 16 Oct 2026; it takes one photo and runs about ten seconds in 9:16. By 23 Oct 2026 the template page showed 16,346 uses, 2,132 likes and 105,464 plays. According to MakeViral's trend page, the creator posted the first clip from the UK on 16 Oct, and it took off on TikTok in the US from 18 Oct, when template promoters posted it with the caption "Try this template. Enchantress Filter 1." MakeViral says many people read the look as Hecate, the Greek goddess of witchcraft and the moon; Hecate is linked with crossroads, night, magic, witchcraft and the Moon. There's no named character behind it, and ours doesn't copy one: no comic, game or film enchantress, no horns, no wings.
Our version keeps you recognisable. The CapCut template gives everyone white eyes, and its demo has long black hair; here your eye colour, hair colour and hair length stay your own, and the crown sits on your own hair. The gown is long-sleeved and high-necked. It's also not our AI Witch Transformation: that one is a cauldron, green smoke, a pointed hat and glowing green eyes in a candlelit cottage. This one is a dark hand, a wipe over the lens, a gold moon crown and a silent shh on plain black. Add a photo of your cat or dog instead and it becomes the moon witch's familiar: the dark hand cups its lifted paw, and it comes back in a small gold crescent crown and a black lace collar with a slow blink. The sound is made with the clip, a soft whoosh and crackling embers, not the template's TikTok sound; add that in TikTok when you post if you want it.
Is the Enchantress Filter trend still growing?
Breaking, and Halloween-season. The CapCut template went up on 16 Oct 2026 and had 16,346 uses on 23 Oct. As of 21 Oct, MakeViral counted the template's sound in 463 TikTok videos, gaining 167 a day, with 28 of its 29 top posts from the previous three days and 45 of 52 checked posts from the US. Tag counts are still small (#enchantressfilter: 171 videos, 230,800 views, MakeViral's read of 21 Oct) and Google had no completions for "enchantress filter" on 23 Oct. Our estimate: it peaks around Halloween, Saturday 31 Oct 2026, and fades in November.
How to do the Enchantress Filter trend: by hand or in one click
By hand: put your photo into the scene with an image model, regenerate until the face looks like you, give that still to an image-to-video model with the moves written out, then check the face holds to the last frame.
Here, in one click: add a photo for each person, see a free preview still of you in the scene, then make the 1080p video from it. You pay only when it’s ready.
Enchantress Filter mixes
- You
- Your pet: The moon witch's familiar: the dark hand cups the lifted front paw from below. Once it has passed the lens, the same animal wears a small gold crescent-moon crown between its own ears and a black lace collar with a tiny gold moon; at the end, one slow blink and a small head tilt at the lens. A real animal, sitting, with its own paws
Photo tips for Enchantress Filter
- One sharp, front-facing photo, chest up or closer, face well lit: the face is large on screen before and after the dark wipe.
- Your eye colour, hair colour and hair length stay yours; the crown sits on your own hair. Take off sunglasses and hats; everyday glasses can stay.
- Hands empty in the photo if you can: no drink, phone or cigarette, so nothing follows you into the scene.
- One adult per photo: your own, or someone who said yes. Never a child, a celebrity or a stranger's photo.
- For your pet, one clear daylight photo of the whole animal, head and chest, eyes visible, so it keeps its own coat and markings under the crown.
Who to cast
- You (the classic)
- The friend who's always been a bit witchy
- Your partner, with their yes
- Your cat or dog as the moon witch's familiar

How many photos do I need for Enchantress Filter?
One clear, front-facing photo per person (or pet). This template has room for 2. Add up to 3 photos of each for a closer likeness.

They are stored privately, sent to the video model through short-lived links, never used for training, and deleted with your video after 30 days.
What is the Enchantress Filter?
A ten-second Halloween transformation that started as a CapCut AI template, "Enchantress Filter 1", on 16 Oct 2026. A black clawed hand rises out of the dark and takes your hand, sweeps over the camera, and you're revealed as a moon sorceress in a gold crescent-moon crown, dark eye makeup and black lips, ending with a finger to your lips.
How do I do the Enchantress Filter with AI?
Add one clear photo of your face, check the free preview still, then make the video. There's no prompt to write and no app to install: the dark hand, the wipe, the crown, the gown, the embers and the sound are built in. Post it on TikTok, Reels or Shorts.
Is the Enchantress Filter free?
The preview is free: add a photo and see a still of yourself in about a minute. The ten-second video is 100 credits ($6.99), in 1080p. The original is a CapCut template, and it gives everyone white eyes; ours keeps your own eyes and hair.
Is the Enchantress Filter on CapCut?
Yes. The original is the CapCut template "Enchantress Filter 1" by ArtemisCC, uploaded on 16 Oct 2026, and it had 16,346 uses on 23 Oct. This page makes our own version from your photo instead of the template.
Is it Hecate?
Many people read the look as Hecate, MakeViral says: the Greek goddess linked with witchcraft, night and the moon; the template itself doesn't name anyone. Ours is a generic moon sorceress, not a character from a comic, game or film.
Will my eyes go white?
No. The CapCut template gives everyone white eyes; ours keeps your own eye colour, hair colour and hair length so people can tell it's you. The change is the crown, the makeup, the lace gown and the embers.
How is it different from the AI Witch Transformation?
The witch transformation is a cauldron, green smoke, a pointed hat, a black robe and glowing green eyes in a candlelit cottage. The Enchantress Filter is a dark clawed hand taking yours, a wipe over the lens, and a gold crescent-moon crown and black lace on plain black, ending on a silent shh.
Can my cat or dog do the Enchantress Filter?
Yes. Pick the pet version and add a photo of the whole animal: the dark hand cups its lifted paw, and it comes back as a moon witch's familiar in a small gold crescent crown and a black lace collar, with a slow blink. It's built to keep its own coat and markings.
Is it scary?
Spooky rather than gory: a dark hand, black lips and a stare. There's no blood or monster, and the gown is high-necked and long-sleeved.
Does the video have sound?
Yes, made with the clip: a soft whoosh as the hand passes the lens, then crackling embers. It isn't the template's TikTok sound; add that in TikTok when you post if you want it.
Can I make it with a friend or my kids?
One adult per video, with their yes if it's not you. We don't make videos of children; for a family Halloween post, the pet version is the safe bet.
