What is the Santa Sleigh AI trend?
The Santa sleigh AI video puts you in the driver's seat on Christmas Eve. It opens on a snowy rooftop at night: a red-and-gold wooden sleigh piled with presents, a team of reindeer stamping at the edge of the roof, snow falling and a huge full moon behind. You grin into the camera from the front seat, flick the reins, and the reindeer leap off the roof. The sleigh lifts after them, the camera rises alongside you, and then it swings out to watch you glide over a little town of lit windows and smoking chimneys, a trail of golden sparkle behind the runners, until you pass in front of the moon. Ten seconds, one camera move, no cuts.
It's a yearly Christmas format, not a meme that broke this week, and it's worth being straight about that. Google searches for "santa sleigh" follow the calendar exactly: on Google Trends they sit at 2 to 6 (out of 100) in spring and peak every December, at 83 in 2021, 85 in 2022, 89 in 2023, 99 in 2024 and 100 in 2025. In 2025 the climb started in early November and peaked on 24 and 25 December. What changed in 2025 is the AI part: "ai santa video" barely registered in December 2024 (3 on the same chart) and reached 41 in December 2025, more than ten times as much, peaking on the same two days. The AI tools followed. media.io's 'AI Santa Flying' and 'AI Santa's Sleigh Generator' pages (first archived on 16 and 19 Jan 2026), and Magic Hour's 'Santa Mode' and 'Reindeer Flight Lift-off' templates, all sell a version of the same picture: your photo, Santa's sleigh, the night sky. We put ours up in October so it's ready when the searches come back.
Here you add one photo of yourself or your pet. You get a free preview still of you (or your dog or cat) at the reins on the rooftop in about a minute, then make the 10-second video in 1080p for 100 credits ($9.90). Your face, hair, facial hair and glasses come from your photo, and you ride bare-headed in a long red fur-trimmed coat. You stay you: no white beard, no Santa hat. A pet keeps its own breed, coat and markings and sits up front with the reins over the rail. The video comes with sleigh bells, wind and a whoosh at take-off; add your Christmas song when you post. It's for adults and pets only.
Is the Santa Sleigh trend still growing?
Seasonal and out of season: on 18 Oct 2026 "santa sleigh" is at 11 on Google Trends, against 100 last December. In each of the last five years it roughly doubled in November and peaked in December, and in 2025 the daily peak was 24 December, with "ai santa video" peaking on the same days, 24 and 25 December. We're live early for the 2026 season.
How to do the Santa Sleigh trend: by hand or in one click
By hand: put your photo into the scene with an image model, regenerate until the face looks like you, give that still to an image-to-video model with the moves written out, then check the face holds to the last frame.
Here, in one click: add a photo for each person, see a free preview still of you in the scene, then make the 1080p video from it. You pay only when it’s ready.
Santa Sleigh mixes
- You
- Your pet: Replace the person with the pet from the photo, the whole animal, sitting upright on the front seat with the reins looped over the front rail, head turned to the camera, snowflakes settling on its fur; its ears perk as the reindeer move off and blow back as the sleigh lifts. No person anywhere
Photo tips for Santa Sleigh

- You don't need a red coat: the scene dresses you in one.
- For your pet: one sharp photo of its face and coat, looking roughly at the camera, with nobody else in it.
- Adults and pets only. Use your own photo or one from an adult who said yes.
Who to cast
- You, for the family group chat
- Your dog or cat, the real boss of Christmas
- Your partner, with their yes, for a Christmas card that moves

Is the Santa sleigh AI video a new trend?
No, it's a Christmas format that comes back every year. Google searches for "santa sleigh" peak every December (five Decembers in a row, 2021 to 2025) and "ai santa video" peaked on 24-25 Dec 2025. We're early on purpose: searches usually start climbing in early November.

Going by last year's searches, the build-up runs from late November through December, with the biggest days on 24 and 25 December. Make it whenever you like; it's ready now.
Do I turn into Santa?
No. You stay yourself: your own face and hair, bare-headed, in a long red fur-trimmed coat. There's no white beard or Santa hat, so the video still looks like you. You're the one driving Santa's sleigh tonight.
Can my dog or cat ride the sleigh?
