What is the Middle Finger Dunk AI trend?

The middle finger dunk is the 1v1 basketball trend where one player crosses the other over, flies over them for a one-handed dunk and then taunts the camera; ours is a 10-second vertical AI video made from two photos, you as the dunker and your friend as the one who gets dunked on, on a packed park court at night. Add the two photos, see a free preview still of you both on the court in about a minute, then make the video for 100 credits ($6.99).

It started with a real clip, not an AI one. On 19 Oct 2026 TikTok user @dihanator4000 posted a streetball play captioned "Bro did an emote mid dunk", which had 1.2 million views and 126,000 likes on our 2 Nov 2026 read. A day later, on 20 Oct, French creator @teuteuf6 posted an AI remake titled "Mon prime 1v1 basket" (1.3 million views and 88,100 likes on the same read), and "my prime 1v1" became the other name for it. AI template sites added the scene within days: MakeViral calls it My Prime 1v1 Dunk, Starrd sells a two-photo Middle Finger Dunk with a 360 slam.

One thing to know up front: our video doesn't flip anyone off. The name comes from the original gesture, but the AI version ends on a cleaner taunt, a flat-hand brush off each shoulder and a cold stare into the lens while your friend laughs behind you, hands on knees. Add any caption you like when you post.

There are two ways to play it. Dunk on your friend uses two photos: photo 1 is the dunker, in a plain white tee, photo 2 the defender, in black. Just you uses one photo and puts a made-up defender on the court. Your faces, hair, facial hair and glasses come from your photos. The court is generic: no league, team or sponsor marks, no scoreboard and no real players. The sound is the court (sneaker squeaks, the rim's clang, the crowd) with no music, so add the trend sound in TikTok.

Want the big-arena version instead? AI Dunk is the solo dunk from the free-throw line at a packed night game, with a mascot and a pet mode. For a football moment, try Wonder Goal.

How to do the Middle Finger Dunk trend: by hand or in one click

By hand: put your photo into the scene with an image model, regenerate until the face looks like you, give that still to an image-to-video model with the moves written out, then check the face holds to the last frame.

Here, in one click: add a photo for each person, see a free preview still of you in the scene, then make the video from it. You pay only when it’s ready.

Middle Finger Dunk mixes

  • Dunk on your friend: Two different adults from photos: the first always the dunker in white, the second always the defender in black, never swapped, even mid-air; once the dunk is done, the defender laughs with the head up, face to the camera
  • Just you: The dunker is the one person from a photo; the defender and the crowd are made-up adult extras, still in the scene: the defender in plain black, back mostly to the camera, face never shown, soft, once the dunk is done laughing with the head down

Photo tips for Middle Finger Dunk

  • Photo 1 is the dunker, photo 2 is the friend who gets dunked on: swap the photos to swap who wins.
  • One adult per photo, facing the camera, sharp and evenly lit, chest up or closer.
  • Your expression carries over, so a confident or smug photo suits the dunker.
  • Keep your glasses on if you wear them; take off sunglasses and hats.
  • Your clothes don't matter on the default look: the scene dresses the dunker in white and the defender in black.
  • Adults only, and only photos of friends who said yes to being in it.

Who to cast

  • You and the friend who always talks the most on the court
  • Your brother, sister or cousin, to settle who was better at basketball
  • Your work rival, for the team chat
  • Just you, over a made-up defender (Just you mode)

How many photos do I need for Middle Finger Dunk?

One clear, front-facing photo per person (or pet). This template has room for 2. Add up to 3 photos of each for a closer likeness.

What happens to my photos?

They are stored privately, sent to the video model through short-lived links, never used for training, and deleted with your video after 30 days.

What is the middle finger dunk trend?

A 1v1 basketball trend: one player crosses the other over, dunks over them and taunts the camera. It started with a real streetball clip posted on TikTok on 19 Oct 2026 ("Bro did an emote mid dunk") and an AI remake on 20 Oct titled "Mon prime 1v1 basket". Now people make their own with a friend's photo.

How do I make the middle finger dunk video?

1. Add two clear photos: photo 1 is you, the dunker; photo 2 is the friend you dunk on. 2. Or pick Just you and add one photo. 3. Check the free preview still. 4. Make the 10-second video. No prompt to write and no editing.

Does the video show the middle finger?

No. The AI video ends with a brush off each shoulder and a cold stare into the camera, while your friend laughs behind you. It keeps the energy of the original without the rude gesture.

What does "my prime 1v1" mean?

It's the other name for the trend, from the French AI remake "Mon prime 1v1 basket" ("my prime 1v1 basketball"); MakeViral reads "my prime" as your best days as a player.

How much does it cost?

The preview still is free. The video is 100 credits ($6.99), vertical 9:16, ready for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.

Can I make it without a friend's photo?

Yes: Just you mode puts a made-up defender in black on the court, back to the camera, so the only face from a photo is yours.

Is it the same as the AI Dunk trend?

No. AI Dunk is a solo dunk in a big indoor arena from the free-throw line, ending in a scream. Middle Finger Dunk is a 1v1 on an outdoor park court over a friend, ending in the shoulder-brush taunt.

Does it have the trend sound?

The video comes with court sound only: squeaks, the rim's clang and the crowd. Add the trend sound in TikTok when you post.

Can I swap who dunks on who?

Yes. Photo 1 is always the dunker in white and photo 2 the defender in black, so swap the two photos to flip it. Make one each and post them side by side, or let the group chat vote on whose prime was better.

What should I write when I post it?

Something that sets up the 1v1: "me in my prime vs you", "1v1 me" or a callback to a game you actually lost. People tag it #middlefingerdunk, #1v1basketball and #aidunk (MakeViral counted 24,973 TikTok videos on #1v1basketball on 24 Oct 2026). Say it's AI in the caption if your platform asks.

Why is it on an outdoor court?

Because the original is a streetball play: a park court at night, floodlights, a crowd standing round the lines filming on their phones. Ours keeps that look on a made-up court, with a plain glass backboard and no team, league or sponsor marks anywhere.

Is the video real?

No, it's an AI video made from your photos. Use photos of adults who said yes to being in it, not children or strangers.
