CAT OR DOG

Which movie scenes suit a cat, and which suit a dog?

Cats are at their best in the still, slow scenes where looking unimpressed is the joke. The Godfather study is made for them: your cat sits as the boss in a bow tie and stares down the lens while the camera creeps closer. The Lion King lift is the other natural cat scene: a small, calm animal held up on a rock is the whole picture.

Dogs win the scenes with movement. A dog sprinting up the museum steps and rearing up with its paws high at the top is the strongest version of Rocky; a dog with floppy ears is the one that looks best in the sea wind on the Titanic bow; and a dog that likes carrying things suits the tiny umbrella in Singin' in the Rain. The Ali G car works with either, as long as the front paws are on the wheel.

What your pet does in each scene

The pet mode comes first on every one of these, so it opens ready for an animal photo.

  1. Lion King Lift 2 pets · 10s Held high on straight arms at the tip of a rock at sunrise, a beam of light landing on it while zebras, giraffes and elephants gather below. Small pets look most natural lifted: cats, small dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs. See yourself in it
  2. Godfather Cat 2 pets · 10s Three ways in: your pet alone as the boss in a bow tie, you in a tuxedo stroking a cat, or you with your own cat curled on your lap. The one cat owners should try first. See yourself in it
  3. Dirty Dancing Lift 2 people · 10s You stand waist-deep in a lake at golden hour and press your cat or dog up overhead, front paws forward like it's flying, then bring it down into a hug. Needs a photo of you and one of your pet. Google suggests "dirty dancing ai video" (26 Oct 2026). See yourself in it
  4. Titanic I'm Flying 2 pets · 10s Paws up on the white rail at the very tip of the bow, the sunset behind, ears streaming back in the wind. Floppy-eared dogs get the most out of it. See yourself in it
  5. Singin' in the Rain 1 pet · 10s A rainy night street, an old iron lamppost and a tiny umbrella, then a happy splash through the puddles. See yourself in it
  6. Matrix Bullet Dodge 1 pet · 10s Your pet in tiny sunglasses and a little coat on a green-tinted rooftop, bending back in slow motion as the bullets ripple past. See yourself in it
  7. Rocky Steps 1 pet · 10s Bounding up the grand stone steps at dawn and rearing up at the top, paws high, the city spread out behind. Use a photo of your pet standing or sitting, not curled up asleep. See yourself in it
  8. Ali G Car 2 pets · 10s Paws on a chunky light-blue steering wheel, a straight face for a beat, then head-banging when the bass drops. See yourself in it
PET PHOTOS

What photo of my pet should I use?

One sharp, well-lit photo of a single animal with its face towards the camera and as much of its body in view as you can get, ears to paws. Its coat, markings, ears and eye colour all come from that photo, so a blurry or dark shot gives you a vaguer pet.

A few scene-by-scene tweaks help. For the lifts, a photo where the whole body is visible makes the hold look right. For the car, get the front paws in, because they go on the wheel. For the steps, pick your pet awake and upright. Leave other animals and people out of the frame so there's no doubt which one is the star.

YOU AND YOUR PET

Can I be in the movie scene with my pet?

Yes, in three of them. In the Dirty Dancing lift you're the one in the water doing the lifting. In the Lion King lift it's your arms raising your pet over the herds. In the Godfather study your own cat sits on your lap while you play the boss. Add a clear, front-facing photo of yourself first, then your pet's.

Want more films that star your animal? Giant Cat Attack turns your pet into a monster-movie giant on a city avenue, Pet with Dinosaurs sends it through a prehistoric valley, and Knight Cat puts it in tiny armour on a stormy moor. Every pet trend is on the pets page.

QUESTIONS

Questions about AI pet movie scenes

Is it real footage from the movie with my pet edited in?

No. Nothing from the film is used: the whole scene is generated in its style around your pet's photo, with no actors and no film frames.

Does it work with my cat?

Yes. All eight scenes take a cat. The Godfather study and the Lion King lift suit cats best, because the joke is a calm, unbothered animal.

Does it work with my dog, even a big one?

Yes. Dogs shine in the moving scenes like the steps, the bow and the car. In the Lion King lift a big dog works too; it just looks heavier in your arms. Small and medium dogs look most natural in the Dirty Dancing lift.

What about a rabbit or guinea pig?

The Lion King lift names rabbits and guinea pigs as good fits. For other scenes, try the free preview first and see how your pet comes out.

Is it free?

The preview still is free, so you can see your pet in the scene before paying anything. The finished 10-second video is paid.
