What is the Pet Waving Goodbye AI trend?
The End is an AI pet clip: your dog or cat walks up an empty city road on its hind legs, stops in front of the camera, waves one paw goodbye and runs off into the distance. Here you add one photo of your pet, see a free preview still of it standing up on the road in about a minute, then get the 10-second video in 1080p for 100 credits ($9.90). It's a goodbye in video form: the last clip of a post, or a reply to a group chat you're leaving. The searches it fits are "dog waving goodbye", "cat waving bye" and "standing cat ai"; The End is the name the template site MakeViral gave it.
By MakeViral's account, it didn't start with a creator: it traced it to TikTok ads for an AI video app it doesn't name. From 12 Oct 2026 a fluffy apricot dog walked up a road lined with pink-panelled barriers, waved and ran away. On 13 Oct the same app added a brown spaniel and a white-and-grey cat, and by 14 Oct MakeViral had counted 18 of the ads. It found no creator reel and no shared prompt (checked 15 Oct), so it built its own version, published it on 15 Oct and named it after the ending. The standing pet is much older than the ad. Dogs that walk upright have gone viral for years, from a dog strolling on its hind legs on a lead in Ontario (an Inside Edition Short, June 2022) to Dexter, the Brittany spaniel who walked around New York on two legs (Spectrum News, August 2025), and #standingcat had 2,551 TikTok videos and 114.2 million views on 15 Oct, by MakeViral's count.
Ours is pets only, one animal per video. Your pet's breed, face, coat, markings, eye colour, collar and tail come from your photo, and it doesn't need to stand up in it: the photo just needs its whole body, ears to paws. The clip is one low, almost still shot on a wide empty road with white barriers hung with pale pink panels and apartment blocks behind, like the ads as MakeViral describes them. The sound is paws on the road and a quiet street, with no music and no voice (MakeViral's ends on a whispered "The end"; ours doesn't), so add "The end" as a caption and your own sound when you post. For a pet that stays and dances instead, there's the AI pet dance.
Is the Pet Waving Goodbye trend still growing?
Brand new, and still an ad more than a trend. MakeViral dates the first ads to 12 Oct 2026, and its template followed on 15 Oct. On 18 Oct it's the only template site we found selling it, our radar scores it 1.0, and we found no creator reels of it yet. Search hasn't caught up either: Google has nothing for "the end ai trend", so the searches this page can meet now are the long-running "dog waving goodbye" and "cat waving bye" meme and GIF ones, plus "standing cat ai". We'll re-read it as creators pick it up, or don't.
How to do the Pet Waving Goodbye trend: by hand or in one click
By hand: put your photo into the scene with an image model, regenerate until the face looks like you, give that still to an image-to-video model with the moves written out, then check the face holds to the last frame.
Here, in one click: add a photo for each person, see a free preview still of you in the scene, then make the 1080p video from it. You pay only when it’s ready.
Photo tips for Pet Waving Goodbye
- One sharp photo of one pet in daylight, with its whole body in view, ears to paws.
- It doesn't need to stand up in the photo: sitting, or standing on four legs, works; curled up asleep doesn't.
- Show its markings and tail clearly: its back is on screen for the whole run away.
- No other animals or people in the photo. A collar stays if it wears one; take off coats and costumes.

Is there a free Pet Waving Goodbye AI video generator?
You can preview yourself in the Pet Waving Goodbye scene free. The full 1080p video costs 100 credits, charged only when it's ready. Credits come in packs from $9.90 for 100 and work on any trend.
Which app makes the Pet Waving Goodbye AI video?
Creators put their photo into the scene with an image model, then animate it with an image-to-video model. This page does both for you from one photo: a free preview still first, then the video.
How many photos do I need for Pet Waving Goodbye?
One clear, front-facing photo per person (or pet). This template has room for 1. Add up to 3 photos of each for a closer likeness.
What happens to my photos?
They are stored privately, sent to the video model through short-lived links, never used for training, and deleted with your video after 30 days.
What is the end AI trend?
An AI clip of your pet saying goodbye: it walks up a city road on its hind legs, waves a paw at the camera and runs off until it's tiny. The End is MakeViral's name for it; by MakeViral's account it first showed up in TikTok ads on 12 Oct 2026.
How do I make my dog wave goodbye with AI?
Add one clear photo of your dog with its whole body in view and check the free preview still of it standing up on the road. Then make the 10-second video: there's no prompt to write, and the walk, the wave and the run are set.
Is the end AI trend free?
The preview is free: you see a still of your pet standing on the road in about a minute, and you pay nothing if you stop there. The 10-second video is 100 credits ($9.90), in 1080p.
Can I do it with my cat?
Yes. Cats work the same way as dogs, and the ads added a white-and-grey cat on 13 Oct 2026, by MakeViral's account. Use a sharp photo where its face, markings and tail are clear.
Does my pet have to stand up in the photo?
No. Sitting, or standing on four legs, is fine: the video stands it up. What matters is the whole body in view, ears to paws, with the markings and tail showing, because you see its back as it runs away.
Can I be in it myself, or do it with a friend?
Not on this one: it's pets only, one animal per video. MakeViral sells a person version too, but the ads it describes only showed pets.
What song is the end trend?
None that we could find for this clip. MakeViral says its version's sound is original and ends on a whispered "The end", and it doesn't name a track from the ads. Ours has paws on the road and a quiet street, no music and no voice, so add a track and a "The end" caption when you post.
How long is the video?
10 seconds: about four seconds of walking up, two of waving and the rest running away down the road. MakeViral's version runs 8 seconds.
Is it the same as the end trend on CapCut?
No. MakeViral says a TikTok search for "the end trend" mostly turns up CapCut outro templates, a "The End" card that closes a photo recap, and Google finishes "the end trend" with "capcut template" (18 Oct 2026). This is a pet video made from one photo, with no editing app.
Can I make a dog waving goodbye GIF?
You get a 10-second MP4 with sound, not a GIF. Any GIF converter can turn the wave into one for chats.
Is it a real dog walking on two legs?
No, it's AI, so your pet never has to stand up for real, and nothing here asks you to train it to. Real upright dogs aren't always doing a trick: Dexter, the Brittany spaniel known for it, lost a front leg after multiple surgeries, Spectrum News reported in August 2025, and The Dodo's 2017 video says the reason its two-legged dog walks that way isn't cute.
Is my photo kept?
For 30 days, then it's deleted automatically, and it's never used to train AI. You can delete it sooner with Delete my data on Your videos; the details are in our safety guide.
