What is the Drunk Dance AI trend?

Drunk Dance is a 10-second AI video made from one photo: you, or your dog or cat standing up on its hind legs, do the wobbly end-of-the-night dance in a living room after a party. The knees go weak, the whole body sways side to side, there's a stumble and a near-topple that you catch at the last second, and it ends on a proud pose at the camera. Add one photo, see a free preview still in about a minute, then make the video in 1080p for 100 credits ($6.99).

How it plays: the camera stands at the dancer's chest height a few steps back, so the whole body is in frame. First the dancer stands under the fairy lights, swaying gently. Then the knees dip and wobble and the arms (or front paws) swing loose as the sway gets bigger. Then comes a stumble step, a clumsy quarter-turn that swings straight back to face the camera, and a teeter far toward the open floor, caught upright. In Just you it ends with a point at the camera; in Your pet, with both front paws thrown up high. It's the dance, not the drink: nobody holds anything, and there are no bottles or glasses in the room.

It's built on a video effect Kling sells as drunk_dance, with a separate pet version, drunk_dance_pet; both are listed on fal.ai's page for Kling's effects (read 22 Oct 2026). Ours is for adults and pets only; we never make it with children. If you want comedy moves rather than a wobble, try Funny Dance; for your pet showing off proper moves, AI Pet Dance; for real choreography, Hip Hop Dance or Dodge Step Dance.

Is the Drunk Dance trend still growing?

Small and early. On 22 Oct 2026 the only seller we found is Kling itself (its drunk_dance and drunk_dance_pet effects, listed on fal.ai's Kling effects page in the Internet Archive's capture of 8 Mar 2026 but not in its capture of 7 Dec 2025), with no viral post or news coverage. Google suggests 'ai drunk dance' as a search, so some people look for it, but we have no sign of big numbers. A party-season joke more than a breaking trend.

How to do the Drunk Dance trend: by hand or in one click

By hand: put your photo into the scene with an image model, regenerate until the face looks like you, give that still to an image-to-video model with the moves written out, then check the face holds to the last frame.

Here, in one click: add a photo for each person, see a free preview still of you in the scene, then make the 1080p video from it. You pay only when it’s ready.

Drunk Dance mixes

  • Just you: One adult dancing alone: two arms and two legs, each whole and bending the normal way, hands with five fingers through every wobble. The face stays toward the camera through the quarter-turn and comes back unchanged. Once it plays, the dance ends with one arm pointed proudly at the camera
  • Your pet: The dancer is an animal, never a person: the whole pet from its photo upright on its two hind legs, its front legs doing the arm moves as soft paws with no fingers, its own animal face, muzzle, ears and tail, sized as that animal, nothing worn unless its photo has it. Its coat sways with each wobble. Once it plays, the dance ends with both front paws thrown up high, proud

Photo tips for Drunk Dance

  • Just you: one clear, front-facing photo of your face in good light, chest up or closer, nothing covering it.
  • The dance is shown head to toe, so the face is small on screen: a sharp, well-lit photo matters more than usual.
  • One person per photo. Keep your glasses on if you wear them; take off sunglasses and hats.
  • Your expression carries over: a big grin makes the funniest version.
  • Your pet: one sharp photo of your dog or cat with the face, both ears and as much of the body as you can get in view. The whole animal comes from your photo.
  • Adults only: your own photo, or a friend's who said yes, never a child's.

Who to cast

  • You, for the morning-after group chat
  • The friend who is always last on the dance floor (with their yes)
  • Your dog, standing up and wobbling like it's 2 a.m.
  • Your cat, the one who already walks like this

Drunk Dance FAQ

Is there a free Drunk Dance AI video generator?

You can preview yourself in the Drunk Dance scene free. The full 1080p video costs 100 credits, charged only when it's ready. Credits come in packs from $6.99 for 100 and work on any trend.

Which app makes the Drunk Dance AI video?

Creators put their photo into the scene with an image model, then animate it with an image-to-video model. This page does both for you from one photo: a free preview still first, then the video.

How many photos do I need for Drunk Dance?

One clear, front-facing photo per person (or pet). This template has room for 2. Add up to 3 photos of each for a closer likeness.

What happens to my photos?

They are stored privately, sent to the video model through short-lived links, never used for training, and deleted with your video after 30 days.

What is the drunk dance AI video?

A short AI video where you, or your pet up on its hind legs, do a wobbly end-of-the-night dance: weak knees, a big sway, a stumble and a near-topple caught at the last second. Ours is made from one photo and runs 10 seconds, set in a living room after a party.

How do I make it?

1. Pick Just you or Your pet. 2. Add one clear photo. 3. Check the free preview still of the dancer in the party room. 4. Make the video. No prompt to write and no dance clip to upload: the wobble, the stumble and the room are built in.

Is it free?

The preview is free: add a photo and see a still in about a minute. The 10-second video is 100 credits ($6.99), in 1080p.

Can my dog or cat do the drunk dance?

Yes: pick Your pet and add one sharp photo. Your pet stands up on its hind legs, sways and wobbles with its front paws swinging, nearly topples, catches itself and throws both front paws up at the end. The whole animal, coat and markings, comes from your photo.

Can I make it with a child?

No. We never make videos of babies or children. This one is for adults (with their yes) and pets.

Does it show alcohol?

No. Despite the name, nobody holds a drink and there are no bottles, glasses or brands in the room. It's the wobbly dance, not the drinking.

Does anyone actually fall over?

No: the near-topple is always caught, and the dancer finishes upright on both feet with a proud pose. It's slapstick, with nobody hurt.

How is it different from Funny Dance?

Funny Dance is a straight-faced comedy routine against a studio wall: hip shakes and chicken-wing arms. Drunk Dance is a wobble, a sway and a near-fall in a party room at night, and it has a pet version.

Will it look like me?

That's the aim: the face, hair, facial hair and glasses come from your photo and are held to the last frame. The dance is full length, so the face is small on screen; a sharp, front-facing photo helps most. Every AI video varies a little, so watch yours before you post.

What photo works best?

One sharp, front-facing photo in daylight or bright indoor light, face uncovered and chest up or closer. For a pet, get the face, both ears and as much of the body as you can in one frame, with nothing over the muzzle. One person or animal per photo; group shots confuse it.

Why is it set in a living room?

Because that's where the end-of-the-night dance happens: fairy lights, a sofa, a few balloons on the floor and warm lamp light, the room after everyone else has gone home. The room is the same in both versions, so a pet and a person video look like a set.

Is there music?

The video comes with generated sound, which may be party noise or a beat. Add your own song in TikTok or Instagram when you post.
