What is the Pet Barbershop Fade AI trend?
The AI pet barbershop video sits your own cat or dog in a barber's chair for a fresh fade. Caped up in a warm wood-panelled shop, your pet sits dead still while a barber's tattooed hand runs buzzing clippers up the side of its head, a comb and blow-dryer lift the fur on top into a tall, glossy quiff, and then it turns slowly to check its new look and stares straight into the camera, completely unbothered. Add one photo and you get a free preview still of your pet in the chair in about a minute, then the 10-second video in 1080p for 100 credits ($6.99). People search for it as AI dog haircut, AI pet barbershop and cat barber AI.

The joke is the calm: a pet acting like a regular who booked the appointment itself. Picsart named the 'AI pet haircut trend' on its blog on 6 April 2026, pointing to a salon reel by the creator @charmbusters made with Picsart that had 217K likes and more than 1,300 comments: the clip looks like a real grooming video until the AI twist lands. Starrd built the barbershop version as its 'Fresh Fade' template (12 seconds, 100 Starrd credits, made on Seedance 2.0), published a how-to on 9 June 2026, and files the 'Pet Barbershop: the Fresh Fade' under June 2026 in its monthly roundup of viral AI video trends. On 30 September 2026 Build Fast with AI listed 'Pet Barbershop Fresh Fade' as prompt 16 of its 50 trending AI video prompts. On 21 October 2026 Google completes 'ai dog haircut' with 'ai dog haircut meme', and 'cat haircut ai' with 'cat barber ai'.
Starrd's example gives a golden dog a long human-style fringe that gets combed down and cut into a bowl. Ours keeps your pet's own fur, colours and markings: the sides go short and neat and the top is blow-dried up into a quiff in its own colour, so it's still unmistakably your pet, just freshly done. The video comes with the shop's sound (clipper buzz, the dryer's whoosh), so it works as it is or under any sound you add in TikTok. More pampering? Pet Spa Day gives it cucumber eyes and a facial; Pet Chef puts it at the stove.
Is the Pet Barbershop Fade trend still growing?
Settled, not breaking. The pet barbershop peaked as a named trend in spring and early summer 2026 (Picsart in April, Starrd's June roundup) and is now a standard pet template, still listed in a 30 Sep 2026 prompt roundup. No site shows use counts, so we can't say how big it is today.
How to do the Pet Barbershop Fade trend: by hand or in one click
By hand: put your photo into the scene with an image model, regenerate until the face looks like you, give that still to an image-to-video model with the moves written out, then check the face holds to the last frame.
Here, in one click: add a photo for each person, see a free preview still of you in the scene, then make the 1080p video from it. You pay only when it’s ready.

Which app makes the Pet Barbershop Fade AI video?
Creators put their photo into the scene with an image model, then animate it with an image-to-video model. This page does both for you from one photo: a free preview still first, then the video.
How many photos do I need for Pet Barbershop Fade?
One clear, front-facing photo per person (or pet). This template has room for 1. Add up to 3 photos of each for a closer likeness.
What happens to my photos?
They are stored privately, sent to the video model through short-lived links, never used for training, and deleted with your video after 30 days.
How do I make the AI pet barbershop video?
1. Add one clear photo of your dog or cat, face towards the camera. 2. Check the free preview: your pet caped up in the barber's chair. 3. Make the video. There's no prompt to write: the clippers, blow-dryer and the final stare are built in. 4. Post it as it is, or add a sound in TikTok.
Is it free?
The preview is free: add a photo and see your pet in the chair in about a minute. The 10-second video is 100 credits ($6.99), in 1080p.
What happens in the 10 seconds?
One locked-off shot: the clippers buzz up the side of your pet's head, a comb and dryer lift the top into a quiff, the hands leave, and your pet turns to check itself, then stares deadpan into the lens. No cuts.
Will it still look like my pet?
Yes: the breed, coat colours, markings, ears and eyes come from your photo. Only the fur on its head changes shape, short at the sides and fluffed up on top. The free preview shows your pet before you pay.
My dog has short fur. Does it still work?
Yes. The top fur fluffs up into a quiff in your pet's own colour anyway, which on a short-coated dog looks a little like a proud tuft. That's part of the joke.
Does it work for cats?
Yes. On 21 Oct 2026 Google completes 'cat haircut ai' with 'cat barber ai', and a cat's 'I didn't ask for this but I look great' stare is exactly the ending. Rabbits and guinea pigs work with a clear face photo too.
Is it safe for my pet?
Nothing happens to your real pet: it's made from a photo. In the video nothing cuts skin and your pet stays calm in the chair throughout.
Does the video have sound?
Yes: the clipper buzz, the blow-dryer's whoosh and a soft creak of the chair, with no voices or music. Keep it, or put any sound over it in TikTok, Reels or Shorts.
What's the AI pet barbershop prompt?
The prompts that circulate describe the pet sitting calmly in a barber's chair while a groomer gives it an exaggerated haircut, then looking at the camera or a mirror. The key is keeping the pet's face and coat stable while the clippers move. Here you don't write one: add a photo.
How is it different from Pet Spa Day?
Pet Spa Day is the calm top-down facial with cucumber eyes. The barbershop is the glow-up: clippers, a blow-dried quiff and an attitude at the end.
