What is the Fruit Kitten AI trend?
The fruit kitten video is a short, cosy AI clip: two hands peel open a giant orange and, where the segments should be, a tiny kitten is curled up asleep on the soft white pith. It stretches a paw, yawns and blinks up at the camera. Here the kitten is your own pet. Add one photo of your cat, dog or other small animal and you get a free preview still of it asleep in the orange in about a minute, then the 10-second video for 100 credits, the size of one Starter pack ($6.99). There's no prompt to write and no knife involved: the peel is folded open by hand.

It grew out of the AI ASMR fruit-animal genre, where two hands break open a fruit and a little animal sits inside, usually one made of the fruit itself, glossy and jelly-like. SatisfAI's YouTube compilation 'BEST and Cute AI ASMR Fruit Animals!', posted on 8 Sep 2025, had 2,152,108 views on 21 Oct 2026. The fruit kitten swaps the jelly animal for a real-looking kitten: ClipTrend's Fruit Kitten Reveal template cites a post by @fabcrypto4 called 'Orange cat' at 1.1M views and 980K likes, a ginger kitten asleep in a peeled orange. ClipTrend lists it on its trending page beside two cousins, the Cake Kitten (13M views) and the Soap Kitten (6.1M).
The clips you'll find online star a random ginger kitten. Ours stars your pet: the breed, coat colours, markings, ears and eyes come from your photo, only kitten-sized, and we add the orange, the hands and a soft citrus-ASMR soundtrack. A ginger cat looks most like the original, but any coat works and keeps its own colours. Want more of the same family? Cat Cake has your pet climbing out of whipped cream, and Soap Kitten has it popping out of the hand soap.
Is the Fruit Kitten trend still growing?
Niche but sticky. On 21 Oct 2026 the fruit kitten is a smaller cousin of the cake and soap kitten clips: one reference TikTok at about 1.1M views and an AI fruit-animal ASMR genre with a 2.1M-view YouTube compilation, but no Google autocomplete yet and one remake site selling it. Expect it to ride on the bigger kitten trends rather than break on its own.
How to do the Fruit Kitten trend: by hand or in one click
By hand: put your photo into the scene with an image model, regenerate until the face looks like you, give that still to an image-to-video model with the moves written out, then check the face holds to the last frame.
Here, in one click: add a photo for each person, see a free preview still of you in the scene, then make the 1080p video from it. You pay only when it’s ready.
Photo tips for Fruit Kitten
- One sharp, well-lit photo of a single pet, face towards the camera.
- The face, ears and front paws matter most: they're what we see curled up in the peel.
- Show its coat clearly: orange-and-white or ginger pets look great in the fruit, and other coats keep their own colours.
- Daylight beats flash; skip heavy filters, costumes and blurry action shots.
- No other animals or people in the photo.
Who to cast
- Your cat (the original clips show a ginger kitten)
- A ginger or orange-and-white cat, closest to the original
- Your puppy or small dog
- A hamster, rabbit or guinea pig

Is there a free Fruit Kitten AI video generator?
You can preview yourself in the Fruit Kitten scene free. The full 1080p video costs 100 credits, charged only when it's ready. Credits come in packs from $6.99 for 100 and work on any trend.
Which app makes the Fruit Kitten AI video?
Creators put their photo into the scene with an image model, then animate it with an image-to-video model. This page does both for you from one photo: a free preview still first, then the video.
How many photos do I need for Fruit Kitten?
One clear, front-facing photo per person (or pet). This template has room for 1. Add up to 3 photos of each for a closer likeness.
What happens to my photos?
They are stored privately, sent to the video model through short-lived links, never used for training, and deleted with your video after 30 days.
What is the fruit kitten AI video?
A 10-second AI clip in which two hands peel open a giant orange and your own pet, shrunk to kitten size, is curled up asleep inside on the white pith. It stretches, yawns and blinks up at the camera. It's made from one photo of your pet.
How do I make the kitten in an orange video with my own cat?
1. Add one clear photo of your pet, face towards the camera. 2. Check the free preview: your pet asleep in the opened orange. 3. Make the video; the orange, the hands, the wake-up and the sound are built in, so there's no prompt to write. 4. Post it as it is, or add a sound in TikTok.
Is it free?
The preview still is free. The 10-second video is 100 credits, which is one Starter pack ($6.99).
Does it have to be a cat?
No. Puppies, small dogs, hamsters, rabbits and guinea pigs work with a clear face photo. Whatever the animal, it comes out kitten-sized so it fits in the fruit.
Will it still look like my pet?
That's the point: the breed, coat colours, markings, ears and eyes come from your photo, only shrunk to kitten size. A grown dog can look a little puppy-like at that size. The free preview shows your pet in the orange before you pay.
My cat isn't ginger. Will it turn orange?
It shouldn't: the prompt holds your pet's own coat colours and markings next to the peel. A white, black or tabby pet stays white, black or tabby. Check the free preview before you make the video.
Is a knife used on the fruit?
No. The peel is folded open by hand, like the original clip, and nothing sharp comes near your pet. The pith is soft and dry, so there's no juice on its fur either.
What happens in the 10 seconds?
One steady shot from just above: the peel folds open, your pet stretches a front paw over the rim, gives a small yawn, then opens its eyes and blinks slowly up into the camera. No cuts.
Does the video have sound?
Yes, quiet ASMR sound: the rip of the peel, a faint citrus crackle and one tiny yawn or squeak. No music or voices, so you can keep it or put a trending sound over it.
Can I use a peach or a kiwi instead?
Not yet: we make the orange, the version in the clip people copy. ClipTrend's template offers peach, apricot and kiwi too.
How is it different from Cat Cake and Soap Kitten?
Same idea, different hiding place. Cat Cake has your pet climbing out of the whipped cream on a cake, Soap Kitten has it rising out of hand-soap foam, and Fruit Kitten has it asleep inside an orange. Fruit Kitten is the sleepy, cosy one.
