What is the Animal Ride AI trend?
The AI animal ride is the impossible-ride video: you stand on a wild dolphin as if it were a surfboard and carve across open sea, or ride a giant penguin down a snowy slope like a snowboard, filmed low and close on a fisheye lens like a skate clip, until the animal launches into the air with you still on its back. Add one photo of yourself and you get a free preview still of you mid-ride in about a minute, then the 5-second video in 1080p, with sound, for 100 credits ($6.99). People search for it as AI riding animal, riding a dolphin video, AI dolphin video generator or penguin AI video generator.

It comes from the app presets, not from one viral post, and Higgsfield's are the best-known version and the earliest dated ones we found. Higgsfield published 19 Animal Ride example videos on 4 Aug 2026, labelled Dolphin Ride, Penguin Ride, Puffin Ride and Dachshund, under the line 'Ride the impossible'. Its changelog named Dolphin Ride among 13 new viral presets on 6 Aug 2026, and its 14 Aug 2026 blog post on viral presets grouped five 'impossible rides' together, with Dolphin Ride and Penguin Ride at 28 credits per 720p video. Copies followed: media.io sells a Dolphin Ride effect and an Impossible Ride effect, and on 19 Oct 2026 Pippit listed about ten dolphin-riding templates of 5 to 14 seconds, while one CapCut 'Dolphin Riding AI' template showed 28 uses. We found no view counts for the trend on TikTok itself, so treat it as a steady app effect rather than one spike.
Ours keeps the two rides that are really about standing on the animal. Pick Dolphin for turquoise open sea, T-shirt, shorts and a full leap out of the water, or Penguin for golden-hour snow, a puffer jacket and a pop off a bump. Your face, hair, facial hair and glasses come from your photo; the clothes and the animal come from the scene. The dolphin is wild and in open sea, never in a pool or a marine park, and it wears no saddle or harness. If you'd rather sit and fly, that's Dragon Rider; for a saddle and a gallop, Horse Riding; and if your dog wants a board of its own, Pet Skate.
Is the Animal Ride trend still growing?
An app effect with a slow, steady tail rather than a viral peak. Higgsfield launched its Animal Ride presets in early August 2026, and on 19 Oct 2026 the dolphin and penguin rides are still sold by several template sites and still searched in generic forms ('ai riding animal', 'ai dolphin video generator'). No TikTok view counts were found.
How to do the Animal Ride trend: by hand or in one click
By hand: put your photo into the scene with an image model, regenerate until the face looks like you, give that still to an image-to-video model with the moves written out, then check the face holds to the last frame.
Here, in one click: add a photo for each person, see a free preview still of you in the scene, then make the 1080p video from it. You pay only when it’s ready.
Animal Ride mixes
- Dolphin: ride: the animal is one full-grown wild bottlenose dolphin, smooth grey skin, one curved dorsal fin just behind the rider's feet, its head and beak pointing forward, skimming fast along the surface of open turquoise-blue ocean under a clear sky, white spray fanning off its sides. Open sea only: no land, pool, boats, buildings or trainers. The rider wears a plain light T-shirt and plain shorts, barefoot. The launch: the dolphin arcs right out of the water, tail clear, with the rider still standing on its back, then they splash back down together
- Penguin: ride: the animal is one giant emperor penguin, about as long as a snowboard, black back, white belly, short flippers out at its sides, lying on its belly and sliding head-first down a smooth white snow slope with mountains behind under low golden sun, powder spraying up. The rider stands on its back and wears a plain dark puffer jacket, dark trousers and snow boots. The launch: the penguin slides off a small snow bump and both leave the snow together for a moment, then land and keep sliding. It stays a real penguin, never a sled or board, and never flaps or flies

What is the AI animal ride trend?
A short AI video where you ride an animal nobody could ride: standing on a dolphin like a surfboard or on a penguin like a snowboard, filmed on a fisheye action cam, ending in a jump. Here it's made from one photo of you, in 5 seconds.
How do I do the dolphin ride AI trend?
1. Add one clear, front-facing photo of yourself. 2. Pick Dolphin or Penguin. 3. Check the free preview: you standing on the animal mid-ride. 4. Make the video. 5. Post it, with any sound you like on top.
Is there a prompt?
You don't need one: the ride, the fisheye camera, the carve and the launch are built in. If you want to try it elsewhere, the idea in plain words is: the person from my photo stands upright on the back of a wild dolphin like a surfboard, skimming across open sea, fisheye follow camera, then the dolphin leaps out of the water with them still on it.
Is it free?
The preview is free: add a photo and see a still of you on the dolphin or penguin in about a minute. The 5-second video is 100 credits ($6.99), in 1080p.
Which app makes the dolphin ride video?
Higgsfield's Animal Ride presets (August 2026) are the best-known version, and media.io, Pippit and CapCut have their own. On this page you can make it from one photo, with a free preview before you pay.
Can I ride a penguin instead?
Yes. Pick Penguin: you ride a giant penguin sliding on its belly down a snowy slope at golden hour, and it pops off a snow bump with you still on its back.
Is it the same as Dragon Rider or Horse Riding?
No. In Dragon Rider and Horse Riding you sit and fly or gallop. Animal Ride is a standing, board-style ride on water or snow, filmed like an action-sports clip.
Is riding a dolphin real?
Not like this. The video is AI: the dolphin is wild, in open sea, with no saddle or harness, and nobody stands on a real one. Riding captive dolphins is criticised, which is why we never show a pool or a marine park.
Does the video have sound?
Yes: spray, wind, snow and your whoop, made with the video. Add any trend sound on top in TikTok.
Which photo works best?
One sharp, well-lit, front-facing photo of one adult. Take off sunglasses and hats; glasses you normally wear stay. We dress you for the ride, so the outfit in the photo doesn't matter.
