The Internet Archive first captured that page on 13 Aug 2025. Vidu has an Air Kiss template too (first captured on 12 Apr 2026): it turns a portrait into a short blown-kiss video, and its example is a woman in a field at dusk who kisses her fingertips, sends the kiss to the camera, smiles and waves. Vidu also has French Kiss and Cheek Kiss templates; those put two people together, and we don't make them. The air kiss is the one you can send on your own.
The gesture itself is old and everywhere. A blown kiss means kissing your fingertips and blowing the kiss toward someone; an air kiss, strictly, is puckering as if to kiss without touching anyone, usually with a "mwah". People use both to say goodbye from a distance, to someone they can see but can't reach, or to a whole crowd (Wikipedia's article on the air kiss, read 20 Oct 2026). Emoji got there in 2010: the face blowing a kiss, 😘, was approved in Unicode 6.0 that year, first under the name "Face Throwing a Kiss" (Emojipedia).
