Not a fade, not a puff of smoke: one blink and the body has left the building, while your clothes hang in the air for a split second in the shape of your pose and then drop in a heap on the ground where you stood. It's an AI effect, not a single viral post, and we'd rather say so up front. When we read the pages on 19 Oct 2026, Higgsfield sold an effect called Vanish, described as the subject's body instantly disappearing while their empty clothing collapses flat onto the ground, with 14 example clips uploaded on 26 Aug and 9 Sep 2026, and the effect was listed twice on its effects page. Pollo has a guide titled 'How to clone the Vanish viral video'. Morphic shows the cousin of the idea, an empty coat, scarf and hat walking down a rainy street on their own, and Magic Hour has a 5-second Fade Away template with 2 uses. None of them gives a launch date for these, and we found no first post or news story.
Ours keeps the two parts that make it land: the wave is plainly you, and the pile on the ground is your own outfit from the photo. There's also an invisible mode, where the clothes don't fall: your outfit stays upright and strolls off down the street with nobody in it. On Google, "vanish effect" completes to "vanish effect capcut", "vanish effect video" and "vanish effect green screen", and "invisible effect" to "invisible effect higgsfield" and "invisible effect capcut" (read 19 Oct 2026). Those are the searches this page answers, without the green screen.
Is the Vanish trend still growing?
Rising, vendor-led. Higgsfield added its Vanish examples in late August and early September 2026 and lists the effect twice on its effects page; Pollo calls it a viral video in a how-to title. We found no dated origin post, view counts or news coverage on 19 Oct 2026, so treat it as a fresh effect people are trying rather than a trend at its peak.
